Attachment of mothers and child started from the infancy and became essential in the process of growth and development of the children, especially the socio-emotional development. To make a strong emotional attachment between the mother and her baby, the mother must always respond to every child's needs. However, today phenomenon is that the mothers are busy with her activities and depend on the babysitter. The purpose of this research is to identify the correlation between mothers and child attachment to the socio-emotional development of infant in Community Health Center of Darul Imarah in Aceh Besar Regency. The type of this research is descriptive correlative with a cross-sectional study approach. The respondents of this research are 86 mothers who have 1-12 month age infant and were chosen using proportional random sampling. The data collection was conducted on 5 villages from 32 villages in the work area of Community Health Center of Darul Imarah in Aceh Besar Regency. The data collection is using a questionnaire to identify the mothers and child attachment and questionnaire of ASQ:SE-2 of 2 month age, 6 month and 12 month to identify the socio-emotional development of the baby. The result of the research with chi-square analysis shows that there is a correlation between attachment of mothers and child on the socio-development of the baby in Community Health Center of Darul Imarah in Aceh Besar Regency (p-value=0.003). With this result, the local community health service is expected to provide socialization and information to mothers who have a baby, about the importance of building a close relationship between mother and child, and the necessity to performing the check up about the child development as soon as possible.
