Acehnese has its own morphological process in the context of word formation. One of morphological process which still has a lot of unknown structure formation is reduplication. This thesis was conducted to focus on the description of reduplication in Acehnese. By applying descriptive qualitative method, this research was design to describes the types of reduplication in Acehnese and to describes the meaning of reduplication in Acehnese. This study used observation and ethnographic interview as instruments to collect the data. The framework proposed by Sulaiman (1979)and Ali et al. (1984)were used as theguideline of this study. There were 96reduplication words in Acehnese were found in this study. The writer found 50 of full reduplication, 25 of affixes reduplication, and 21 of ablaut reduplication. The writer also found five meaning of reduplication in Acehnese namely (1) to express indefinite plural, (2) to express that the action being taken seriously, (3) to express that an actions done repeatedly, (4) to express mutual action, and (5) to express diversity or miscellaneous By knowing the types and meanings of reduplication in Acehnese, it will help the readers to increase knowledge especially in understanding the process of reduplication. Hopefully, it will be useful for other researchers who are interested in reduplication.
