<note>ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to investigate the prevalent issues regarding the influence of family involvement on firm performance in listed family firms. By exploiting the features of the Indonesian Stock Exchange characterized by high ownership concentration across non financial sectors of public companies over the period 2009 to 2015. Using the panel data of 99 Indonesian firms which has been gathered and resulting in more than 693 firm-year observations. By utilizing panel regression analysis and fixed effect model approach provided by Eviews 9.0 it is also employed to test the hypothesis constructed within this research.
The result of panel regression analysis presents evidence that family involvement in management and ownership simultaneously have a significant effect on the firm performance in Indonesia. Alongside, it also affirms that partially, family involvement in management and ownership respectively has a significant influence on the firm performance in Indonesia.
Keywords: family ownership, firm performance, fixed effect model, panel data.</note>
