Title : A study on culture content integrated in Senior High School
English Textbook First Grade of 2013 Curriculum

The objective of this study is to indicate the culture categories integrated in English
textbook by using culture dimensions and t y pes of culture information. The
qualitative approach is used in conducting the research. This study was focused on
analyzing the culture content integrated in Senior High School English textbook first
grade of 2013 curriculum. The object of this study was all contents in the textbook
convey ing culture information. The Instrument used to collect the data was
documentation. Three procedure proposed by Cohen et. al, coding, categorizing, and
concluding, were utilized to analy ze the data. The r esult of this study showed that
among all culture categories contents found in the textbook, target culture content
were dominantly presented. Then it was followed by source culture, universality
across culture, intercul tural interaction and international culture.
