Potensi air di Indonesia sangat mungkin untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber &#13;
energi listrik. Pembangkit listrik pico hydro ini merupakan prototipe dari sebuah&#13;
pembangkit listrik tenaga air sederhana yang bisa dimanfaatkan dan&#13;
dikembangkan lebih lanjut agar bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai penghasil energi&#13;
listrik. Pico hydro ini terdiri dari turbin, dinamo AC dan bak penampungan berisi&#13;
air. Pengujian perangkat ini dimulai dengan berlaku turbin sebagai penggerak&#13;
dengan variasi ketinggian jatuhnya air dari 1 cm sampai dengan 70 cm. Hasil&#13;
pengujian menunjukkan makin besar ketinggian jatuhnya air, turbin berputar&#13;
makin cepat dan arus dan tegangan yang terukur makin besar. Kemudian juga&#13;
dilakukan variasi ketinggian air dalam bak penampungan. Hasil pengujian&#13;
menunjukkan makin besar ketinggian air dalam bak penampungan, makin cepat&#13;
turbin berputar dan makin besar arus dan tegangan yang terukur. Hal ini&#13;
disebabkan oleh adanya tekanan hidrostatis dimana makin besar ketinggian air,&#13;
makin besar pula tekanan hidrostatis yang dihasilkan nilai arus dan tegangan&#13;
maksimum yang terukur adalah 0,018 v.&#13;

ABSTRACT &#13;

&#13;
Potential water in Indonesia is very possible to be utilized as a source of&#13;
electrical energy. This pico hydro power plant is a prototype of a simple&#13;
hydroelectric power plant that can be utilized and developed further in order to&#13;
be utilized as a producer of electrical energy. Pico hydro consists of turbines,&#13;
dynamo air conditioners and a reservoir filled with water. Testing of this device&#13;
begins with the applicable turbine as a driver with variations in the height of&#13;
water fall from 1 cm to 70 cm. Test results show the greater the height of the fall&#13;
of the water, the turbine rotates faster and the current and voltage are measured&#13;
larger. Then also do variations of water height in the reservoir. Test results show&#13;
the greater the water level in the shelter, the faster the turbine will rotate and the&#13;
greater the measured current and voltage. This is due to the presence of&#13;
hydrostatic pressure where the greater the water level, the greater the hydrostatic&#13;
pressure generated by the current value and the maximum measured voltage is&#13;
0.018 v.&#13;
