ABSTRAK

Pendidikan telah diakui oleh bebagai pakar bahwa memiliki pengaruh besar bagi pembebasan manusia dari belenggu keterbelakangan dan kebodohan.Masalah pendidikan acap kali menjadi persoalan yang menguak di daerah kepulauan tidak terkecuali di Aceh seperti Desa Pulo Breueh Kecamatan Pulo Aceh, yang mana salah satu masalahnya masih rendahnya tingkat masyarakat yang melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi, baik dari SD ke jenjang SMP, SMP ke jenjang SMA, dan SMA ke jenjang Perguruan Tinggi hingga sampai sekarang ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang Persepsi Masyarakat Desa Pulo Breueh Kecamatan Pulo Aceh Terhadap Pentingnya Pendidikan.Berangkat dari judul penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teori persepsi oleh Daviddof untuk menjelaskan permasalahan ini.Penelitian ini dilakukan dilokasi Desa Pulo Breueh Kecamatan Pulo Aceh, desa tersebut adalah Paloh, Lampunyang, dan Lhoh, subjek penelitian diambil dengan menggunakan pendekatan purposive sampling.Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat sebagian besar persepsi masyarakatdari tiga desa yang menyatakan kepedulian mereka terhadap pendidikan dan sebagian kecil masyarakat dari tiga desa ini menyatakan ketidak perdulian mereka terhadap pendidikan dengan berbagai alasan yang berkembang didalam persepsi dan pola pikir masyarakat Pulo Breueh.

ABSTRACT
Education has been recognized by many scholars that it has great influence for human liberation from the shackles of underdevelopment and ignorance. The problem of education is often a problem that reveals in the archipelago is no exception in Aceh, such as Pulo Breueh Village, Pulo Aceh District, where one of the problems is the low level of society continuing education to higher level, from elementary to junior high school, junior high school to high school level, and high school to the level of Higher Education until now. to the people until now. This research was conducted to obtain information about the Village Community Perception Pulo Breueh District Pulo Aceh Against the Importance of Education. Departing from the title of this study, researchers used the theory of perception by Daviddof to explain this problem. The research was conducted at Pulo Breueh Village, Pulo Aceh Sub-district, the villages were Paloh, Lampunyang, and Lhoh, The results conclude that there is a large proportion of people's perceptions of their concern for education and a small proportion express their indifference to education with a variety of reasons developed within the perception and mind-set of the Pulo Breueh community.
