Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakteristik puisi penyair Aceh dalam antologi puisi Lagu Kelu. Aspek yang dikaji meliputi 1) aspek diksi, 2) aspek gaya bahasa, dan 3) aspek tema. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah puisi penyair Aceh yang terdapat dalam antologi puisi Lagu Kelu, dengan memilih empat penyair laki-laki dan empat penyair perempuan, yaitu (1) Ridwan Amran, (2) Maskirbi, (3) Doel CP Allisah, (4) Fikar W. Eda, (5) D. Kemalawati, (6) Wina SW1, (7) Siti Aisyah, dan (8) Ernita Kahar. Kajian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam kajian ini sebagai berikut. Pertama, karakteristik dalam penggunaan diksi (pilihan kata) sangat cermat. Diksi yang digunakan mempertimbangkan makna, yaitu dengan menggunakan: (1) perbendaharaan kata, yaitu (1) kosakata yang berhubungan dengan warna, (2) kosakata yang berhubungan dengan benda dan realitas alam, dan (3) kosakata bahasa daerah. Sementara itu, (2) urutan kata-kata yang digunakan menghasilkan kepaduan komposisi bunyi, dan (3) daya sugesti kata-kata yang digunakan menghasilkan daya magis dari kata-kata tersebut. Kedua, karakteristik penggunaan gaya bahasa sangat kompleks sehingga menjadikan puisi penyair Aceh lebih puitis dan prismatis. Beberapa gaya bahasa yang dominan dalam puisi penyair Aceh, yaitu (1) personifikasi, (2) metafora, (3) hiperbola, (4) paralelisme, dan (5) simile. Ketiga, karakteristik pemilihan tema mengacu pada hal-hal yang dialami, dirasakan, dan yang terjadi di sekitar penyair. Secara umum, tema-tema yang digunakan adalah (1) tema religi, (2) tema kemanusiaan, (3) tema sejarah, dan (4) tema kehidupan.

This study aimed to describe the characteristic poetry of Acehnese poets in Lagu Kelu anthology. Aspects of study include: 1) aspects of diction, 2) aspects of language styles, and 3) aspects of the theme. Data sources in this study are Acehnese poets in Lagu Kelu anthology by selecting four male poets and four female poets, namely (1) Ridwan Amran, (2) Maskirbi, (3) Doel CP Allisah, (4) Fikar W. Eda, (5) D. Kemalawati, (6) Wina SW1, (7) Siti Aisyah, and (8) Ernita Kahar. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The results obtained in this study as follows. First, the characteristics in diction use are very carefully. Diction use consider the meaning, namely by using: (1) vocabulary, namely (1) the vocabulary associated with the color, (2) the vocabulary related to objects and the nature reality, and (3) the local language vocabulary. Meanwhile, (2) a sequence of words that are used to produce cohesion compositions of sound, and (3) the power of suggestion words that are used to produce the magical power of words. Second, the characteristics of the use of force is very complex language that makes the Acehnese poet more poetic and prismatic. Some of the styles dominant language in the Acehnese poet, namely (1) personification, (2) a metaphor, (3) hyperbole, (4) parallelism, and (5) simile. Third, the characteristics of selecting the theme refers to things that are experienced, felt, and that is happening around the poet. In general, the themes were used: (1) the theme of religion, (2) the theme of humanity, (3) the themes of history, and (4) the theme of life.
