The use of Project Based Learning ABSTRACT The study aims to find out the results of learning, skills enhancement process of science students, the learning outcomes and the relationship with the science process skills through Project Based Learning model on the material of biological diversity in high school 1 Peukan Bada. The research was carried out in 14 August until 7 September 2016. The method used is a method of quasi experimental with the design of the pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this research is the whole students of grade XMIA SMA 1 Peukan Bada amounted to 83 students with two sample classes, namely class XMIA2 as an experimental class of 20 students and the class XMIA3 as the control class of 20 students. The instrument of the research uses test and observation sheets. Analysis of test data using independent sample t-test with the help of SPSS 20.0 for windows in significant extent 0.05 for difference results learning in the class control and experiments. Science process skills are analyzed with the percentage, the relationship of the learning outcomes and science process skills using the correlation formula. Penggunaan Model Project Based Learning ABSTRAK Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar, keterampilan proses sains siswa, dan hubungan hasil belajar dengan keterampilan proses sains melalui model Project Based Learning pada materi keanekaragaman hayati di SMA N 1 Peukan Bada. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 14 Agustus sampai 7 September 2016. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode quasi eksperimental dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XMIA SMA 1 Peukan Bada berjumlah 83 siswa dengan dua kelas sampel yaitu kelas XMIA sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 20 siswa dan kelas XMIA 3 2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 20 siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains. Analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t-test dengan bantuan SPSS 20.0 for windows pada taraf signifikan 0,05 untuk perbedaan hasil belajar di kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Keterampilan proses sains dianalisis dengan persentasi, hubungan hasil belajar dan keterampilan proses sains menggunakan rumus korelasi.
