Abstrak.  Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan  spektroskopi &#13;
pantulan dekat inframerah dekat (NIRS) dalam menentukan atribut kualitas dalam buah &#13;
jeruk utuh berupa asam askorbat atau yang dikenal sebagai vitamin C. Data spektrum &#13;
inframerah dekat diffuse diperoleh pada rentang panjang gelombang dari 1000  sampai &#13;
2500 nm dengan selisih 0,02 nm dan ditambah 32 pindaian. Data spektra dicatat dan &#13;
disimpan dalam tiga format file yang berbeda (* .SPA, * .CSV dan * .JDX). Di sisi lain, &#13;
vitamin C sebenarnya diukur dengan metode titrasi. Data spektra dikoreksi dan &#13;
ditingkatkan dengan menggunakan koreksi awal sementara model prediksi dikembangkan &#13;
dengan menggunakan regresi kuadrat terkecil parsial (PLSR). Hasil penelitian &#13;
menunjukkan bahwa vitamin C buah jeruk utuh dapat ditentukan dan diprediksi secara &#13;
akurat dengan  menggunakan data spektrum baseline yang disempurnakan dengan &#13;
koefisien korelasi (r) = 0,917 dan indeks prediktif prediktif prediktif (RPD) adalah 2,089 &#13;
yang menunjukkan kinerja model yang cukup. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, dapat &#13;
disimpulkan bahwa NIRS dapat diterapkan dan digunakan untuk memprediksi vitamin C &#13;
dari jeruk utuh.&#13;

Abstract.  The main purpose of this present study is to apply near infrared reflectance &#13;
spectroscopy (NIRS) in determining inner quality attributes of intact oranges fruit in form &#13;
of ascorbic acid or known as vitamin C. Diffuse near infrared spectra data were acquired &#13;
in wavelength range from 1000 to 2500 nm with increment 0.02 nm and co -added 32 &#13;
scans. Spectra data were recorded and saved in three different file formats (*.SPA, *.CSV &#13;
and *.JDX). On the other hand, actual vitamin C were measured by titration method. &#13;
Spectra data were corrected and enhanced using baseline correction while prediction &#13;
model was developed using partial least square regression (PLSR). The results showed &#13;
that Vitamin C of intact orange fruit can be determined and predicted accurately by usin g &#13;
enhanced baseline spectra data with correlation coefficient  (r) = 0.917 and residual &#13;
predictive deviation (RPD) index was 2.089 which indicated sufficient model &#13;
performance. Based on obtained results, it may conclude that NIRS can be applied and &#13;
used to predict vitamin C of intact oranges.&#13;
