ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh penggunaan smartphone dalam gaya hidup modern terhadap komunikasi interpersonal kalangan pemuda di Kecamatan Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan smartphone terhadap komunikasi interpersonal pemuda di Kecamatan Syiah Kuala. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 50 responden yang terpilih dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan yaitu dengan menyebarkan kuesioner. Data primer dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari kuesioner yang skala pengukurannya menggunakan skala likert dan diolah secara statistik dengan program SPSS versi 20.0 yaitu uji validitas dan reabilitas, uji hipotesis, uji regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil dari analisis regresi liniear sederhana bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang cukup positif antara penggunaan smartphone terhadap komunikasi interpersonal pemuda dengan koefisien regresi 0,438 (hubungan yang cukup erat). Hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai thitung adalah 3.37 dan nilai ttabel pada ? 0,05 pada uji 2 sisi diketahui 2,49. Berdasarkan kriteria uji hipotesis yaitu jika thitung lebih besar dari ttabel(3,37>2,49), maka Ha diterima.Oleh karena itu, dapat dinyatakan bahwa penggunaan smartphone memiliki pengaruh yang signifikansi dengan variabel komunikasi interpersonal. Artinya pengunaan smartphone dapat mempengaruhi sikap komunikasi interpersonal pemuda.

ABSTRACT

This study titled "The influence of the use of smartphones in modern lifestyle on interpersonal communication among the youth in the District of Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of smartphones to the youth interpersonal communication in the District of Syiah Kuala. This research is a quantitative study with descriptive approach. The number of respondents in this study were 50 respondents were selected by purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used in this research is a field that is by distributing questionnaires. Primary data in this study were obtained from questionnaires measurement scale using Likert scale and statistically processed with SPSS version 20.0 is test validity and reliability, hypothesis testing, simple linear regression test. Based on the results of a simple linear regression analysis that there is a considerable positive influence between the use of smartphones to the youth interpersonal communication with a regression coefficient of 0.438 (a fairly close relationship). The hypothesis testing results obtained tcount is 3:37 and the value of ? ttable at 0.05 in test 2 side note 2.49. Based on the hypothesis that the test criteria if thitung greater than ttable (3.37> 2.49), then Ha acceptable by Therefore, it can be stated that the use of smartphones has significant influence with interpersonal communication variables. This means that the use of smartphones can affect the attitude of the youth interpersonal communication.
