Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat kemampuan pedagogik dan profesional guru Biologi serta kendala dalam menerapkan kurikulum 2013 di SMAN Kabupaten Bireuen. Pengambilan data  dilakukan pada bulan Agustus-Oktober 2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan data yaitu dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh guru Biologi di Kabupaten Bireuen. Sampel yang diambil adalah 20 guru Biologi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi kemampuan pedagogik, lembar observasi kemampuan profesional dan instrumen penilaian RPP. Data dianalisis menggunakan rumus persentase. Hasil Kemampuan pedagogik guru biologi dikategorikan baik yaitu 78,81 %. Kemampuan profesional guru Biologi dikategorikan baik yaitu 77,74 %. Instrumen penilaian rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) yang dibuat oleh guru biologi dikategorikan sangat lengkap yaitu 100%. Kendala guru Biologi dalam penerapan kurikulum 2013 adalah dari segi perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan penilaian.&#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;

This study aims to determine the level of pedagogical and professional ability Biology teacher in curriculum implementation in 2013 and the constraints in implementing the curriculum 2013 in Senior High School Bireuen district. Data were collected in August-October 2016. This research is a survey research. The approach used is descriptive and quantitative approach. Data collection technique is by using purposive sampling. The study population was all teachers of Biology in Bireuen district. The samples taken are 20 teachers of Biology. Collecting data using observation sheet. Data were analyzed using a percentage formula. Results The ability of a biology teacher considered good pedagogic that is 78.81%. Biology teacher professional capabilities are categorized that is 77,74%. Assessment instrument lesson plan (RPP) made by a biology teacher considered so complete that 100%. Biology teacher constraints in the implementation of the curriculum in 2013 is in terms of planning, implementation and evaluation.&#13;
