 <note>ABSTRAK&#13;
Limbah cair pabrik kelapa sawit mengandung bahan organik yang tinggi.&#13;
Metode konvensional yang umum digunakan adalah system lagoon berupa kolam&#13;
anaerobik dan kolam aerobik dengan ukuran yang sangat luas. Pada penelitian i&#13;
dilakukan pengolahan limbah cair pabrik kelapa sawit dengan metode kombinasi&#13;
elektrokoagulasi dan Advaced Oxidation Process (AOP) secara simultan.&#13;
Elektroda yang dipakai adalah Besi dan Aluminium. Sebagai pembentuk&#13;
reagant Fenton digunakan larutan H&#13;

teknis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk&#13;
membandingankan penurunan nilai COD, penurunan nilai kekeruhan dan pengaruh&#13;
pH pada penggunaan jumlah dan jenis elektroda yang digunakan. Penentuan&#13;
kondisi optimum digunakan RSM Box Benhken. Limbah cair pabrik kelapa sawit&#13;
digunakan berasal dari kolam anaerobik tiga, diambil dan dianalisa karakteristik&#13;
awalnya yaitu COD, pH dan kekeruhan.&#13;
Pada penggunaan elektroda Fe-Fe dan Al-Al (susunan 2 pasang elektroda)&#13;
didapat penurunan kekeruhan sebesar 96,83% dengan pH 8,24. Pada kondisi ini&#13;
voltase yang digunakan adalah 12 Volt, waktu selama 30 menit dan volume H&#13;

adalah 20 mL. Sedangkan penurunan COD adalah 95,45%. Pada penggunaan&#13;
elektroda Fe-Fe, Al-AL dan Al-Al (susunan 3 pasang elektroda) didapat penurunan&#13;
kekeruhan sebesar 97,35% dengan pH 8,92. Pada kondisi ini voltase yang&#13;
digunakan adalah 12 Volt, waktu selama 30 menit dan volume H&#13;

Penurunan COD adalah sebesar 96,95%.&#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;
Oil palm mill effluent consist high organic compound. The conventional methode&#13;
that normally used is lagoon system, which is be in the form of anaerobic and&#13;
aerobic pond that have large dimensions. This reseach is using combination method&#13;
electrocoadulation and advanced oxidation process (AOP) simultanously. The&#13;
electrodes used were iron and aluminium. As reagent fenton used was H2O2 liquid.&#13;
This reseach aim to compare the reduction valse of COD, the reduction valve of&#13;
turbidity and the influence of pH on the volume and type of electrode that used.&#13;
Box-Benhken was used to determine the optimum condition. The source of oil palm&#13;
mill effluent was came from the third anaerobis pond wihich has been taken and&#13;
analyse the characteristic of the sample were COD, pH and turbidity. On the used&#13;
of Fe-Fe electrode and Al-Al (4 layer electrode) it found that the reduction of&#13;
turbidity was 96,83% with the pH was 8,24. The voltage was 12 volt for 30 menit&#13;
and the volume H2O2 was 20 mL. While reduction of COD was 95,45%. Whereas&#13;
on the used of Fe-Fe, Al-Al and Al-Al electrode (6 layer electrode) was found the&#13;
reduction of turbidity was 97,44% with the pH was 8,92. The voltage used was 12&#13;
volt for 30 menit and the volume H2O2 was 20 mL. The reduction of COD was&#13;
96,95%.&#13;
