GAMBARAN KONSEP DIRI PADA ANAK ASMA DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM
DAERAH dr. ZAINOEL ABIDIN BANDA ACEH
ABSTRAK
Asma merupakan salah satu gangguan inflamasi kronis pada jalan napas yang dialami pada
masa kanak-kanak yang penyakitnya berlangsung lama sampai bertahun, jika aspek pencetus
serangan asma seperti aspek fisik dan psikologis tidak teratasi dengan baik hal ini akan terjadi
perubahan fisik dan psikologis akibat penyakit asma. Perubahan yang terjadi salah satunya
pada konsep diri yaitu citra tubuh, ideal diri, harga diri, peran diri dan identias diri.Tujuan
penelitian untuk mendapatkan gambaran konsep diri pada anak asma di rumah sakit Umum
Daerah Dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Waktu penelitian ini dilakukan mulai tanggal 2-29
Mei 2017. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan Metode pengumpulan
data yang digunakan adalah wawancara terpimpin dengan menggunakan kuesioner dalam
bentuk Skala Guttman. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 78 responden dengan sampel
48 responden dengan tehnik pengambilan Simple Random Sampling. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa Konsep diri anak yang menderita asma di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah
dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh berada pada kategori positif yaitu sebanyak 28 responden
(58,3%). Dengan nilai masing-masing subvaribel: citra tubuh berada pada kategori negatif
yaitu sebanyak 27 responden (56,3%), ideal diri berada pada kategori positif yaitu sebanyak
27 responden (56,3%), harga diri berada pada kategori negatif yaitu sebanyak 28 responden
(58,3%), peran diri berada pada kategori positif yaitu sebanyak 26 responden (54,2%),
identitas diri berada pada kategori positif yaitu sebanyak 33 responden (68,8%). Berdasarkan
hasil penelitian, peneliti menyarankan agar petugas keperawatan lebih meningkatkan
komunikasi dan edukasi terhadap pasien melalui pemberian fasilitas layanan konseling di
poliklinik guna melakukan follow up terhadap perkembangan psikologis anak asma.

THE OVERVIEW OF SELF-CONCEPT ON ASTHMA CHILDREN IN dr ZAINOEL
ABIDIN REGIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAL OF BANDA ACEH
ABSTRACT
Asthma is one of the chronic inflammatory disorders of the breath way experienced in
childhood that the illness lasts for many years. If aspects of asthma attack trigger such as
physical and psychological aspects are not resolved well, physical and psychological changes
caused by asthma will occur. One of the changes that occur on the self-concept is body
appearance, self-ideal, self-esteem, self-role and self-identity. The purpose of this research
was to get an overview of self-concept on asthma children in dr Zainoel Abidin Regional
General Hospital of Banda Aceh. This research was conducted on May 2-29, 2017. The type
of research was descriptive research which data collection method used was guided interview
by using questionnaire in the form of Guttman Scale. A number of 78 respondents were the
population in this study with 48 respondents as the samples with the collection technique of
Simple Random Sampling. The results indicated that the self-concept of children suffering
from asthma at the dr. Zainoel Abidin Regional General Hospital of Banda Aceh was in the
positive category with a number of 28 respondents (58.3%). The values of each subvaribel
were that: body appearance was in the negative category that was amounted to 27
respondents (56.3%), self ideal was in the positive category amounted to 27 respondents
(56.3%), self-esteem was in the negative category amounted to 28 Respondents (58.3%), the
self-role was in the positive category amounted to 26 respondents (54.2%), self-identity was
in the positive category amounted to 33 respondents (68.8%). From the results of the study, it
is advisable for nursing officers to further improve communication and education to patients
through the provision of counseling services in polyclinics in order to follow up on the
psychological development of asthma children.
