 <note>ABSTRAK&#13;
Media  buatan  kultur in  vitro merupakan  media alternatif  pengganti  media&#13;
Murashige  dan  Skoog (MS) yang  umum  digunakan seperti Growmore.&#13;
Penambahan air kelapa dalam media dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan tanaman,&#13;
sehingga  perlu  dilakukan  penelitian  tentang  pengaruh  penambahan  beberapa&#13;
konsentrasi  air  kelapa dalam  media  buatan  terhadap pertumbuhan  krisan&#13;
(Dendranthema grandiflora). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Biologi&#13;
Sel dan Molekuler Jurusan Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan&#13;
Alam, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh dari bulan April sampai Juli 2013.&#13;
Penelitian  ini  menggunakan Rancangan  Acak  Kelompok Sub Sampling dengan&#13;
media sebagai kelompok dan air kelapa sebagai perlakuan. Pengamatan dilakukan&#13;
mulai dari penanaman eksplan sampai satu bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan&#13;
tidak ada perbedaan nyata antara penggunaan media MS dan media buatan dengan&#13;
beberapa  konsentrasi  air  kelapa terhadap  inisiasi  tunas,  akar,  serta  pertumbuhan&#13;
daun. Perlakuan K1 (2,5% air kelapa dalam media) menunjukkan perbedaan nyata&#13;
dengan K0  (0%  air  kelapa  dalam  media) terhadap tinggi  batang  krisan.&#13;
Pertumbuhan panjang akar krisan terbaik ditunjukkan pada media  A (MS)  yaitu&#13;
4,8125  cm, sama  halnya dengan pertumbuhan  planlet (10,5042  cm), akan  tetapi&#13;
pertumbuhan  planlet  tidak  berbeda  nyata  dengan  pertumbuhan pada  media  D&#13;
(Growmore 1 gram/L) yaitu 9,1750 cm.&#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;
Artificial  medium for  in  vitro  culture  is  an  alternative  media  to subtitute&#13;
Murashige and Skoog (MS). Growmore added with organic substances as coconut&#13;
water can be used as artificial medium. Coconut water can affect plant growth, so&#13;
the  research is to  investigate the influence of  coconut  water in  different&#13;
concentration to chrysanth (Dendranthema grandiflora)’s growth should be done.&#13;
The  research  was  conducted  in  Laboratory  of Molecular and Cell Biology,&#13;
Department of  Biology,  Faculty  of  Mathematics  and  Natural  Sciences,  Syiah&#13;
Kuala  University  Darussalam,  Banda  Aceh,  from  April  until  July  2013. The&#13;
research  was  designed  by  using Randomized Block Design with  sub  sampling.&#13;
Media act as group, while coconut water concentration as treatment. Observation&#13;
was started from growing time up to a month after planting. The  result  showed&#13;
that  there  was  no  significant  different between  using  MS  and  artificial  medium&#13;
with different coconut water concentration to initiate shootlet and rootlet, as well&#13;
as  the  leaf  growth.  For  chrysant hight, treatment  K1  (2.5%  of  coconut  water  in&#13;
medium) was different significantly from K0 (0% of coconut water in medium).&#13;
The best growth of chrysant’s root presented in medium A, that was 4.8125 cm.&#13;
Furthermore, the best growth of planted was in medium A as well, but it was not&#13;
significantly  different  from one  in   Medium  D  (Growmore  1  gram/L),  that  is&#13;
9.1750 cm.&#13;
