ABSTRAK Penelitian tentang keanekaragaman jenis Gastropoda pada ekosistem mangrove di kawasan Desa Ladong Kecamatan Mesjid Raya Kabupaten Aceh Besar telah dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2016 sampai bulan Januari 2017. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelimpahan jenis, keanekaragaman, keseragaman dan dominansi Gastropoda. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di tiga stasiun pengamatan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan pengambilan sampel Gastropoda menggunakan transek kuadrat 1 x 1 m2 dari dalam stasiun pengamatan vegetasi mangrove 10 x 10 m2. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan ditemukan sebanyak 9 spesies dengan kelimpahan Gastropoda sebesar 79 ind/m2. Indeks keanekaragaman Gastropoda tergolong kategori rendah, indeks keseragaman sedang dan indeks dominansi tinggi. Jenis yang mendominansi yaitu Cerithidiopsila cingulata. ABSTRACT Research on the diversity of species of Gastropoda in the mangrove ecosystem in the area of Ladong Village, Mesjid Raya, Aceh Besar District, has been conducted in December 2016 until January 2017. The purpose of this study was to determine the abundance of species, diversity, uniformity and dominance of Gastropoda. Sampling was conducted at three observation stations using purposive sampling method and Gastropoda sampling using 1 x 1 m2 quadratic transect from within 10 m x 10 m2 mangrove observation station. Based on the results of research conducted, it is found nine species with abundance Gastropoda of 79 ind/m2. The diversity index of Gastropoda is classified as low, medium uniformity index and high dominance index. The dominant species are Cerithidiopsila cingulata. Keywords: Ladong, Gastropod, Mangrove.
