ABSTRAK Nama : Muhammad Yusuf Ritonga Program Studi : Pendidikan Dokter Gigi Fakultas : Kedokteran Gigi Judul : Identifikasi Faktor Yang Menyebabkan Masyarakat Gampong Rukoh Tidak Memakai Gigi Tiruan Karies gigi dan penyakit periodontal merupakan penyebab utama kehilangan gigi. Kehilangan gigi yang tidak diganti dengan gigi tiruan dapat berdampak pada gangguan fungsi mastikasi, fonetik dan estetis. Namun karena faktor seperti ekonomi, pengetahuan, tidak ada waktu sehinggga masyarakat tidak mengganti gigi yang hilang dengan gigi tiruan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang menyebabkan masyarakat gampong rukoh tidak memakai gigi tiruan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan di Gampong Rukoh Kecamatan Syiah Kuala Kota Banda Aceh. Besar sampel 298 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor biaya memiliki persentase tertinggi sebanyak 153 responden (51,3%), faktor pengetahuan sebanyak 141 responden (47,3%), fonetik sebayak 69 responden (23,2%). Faktor biaya dan pengetahuan merupakan faktor terbesar yang menyebabkan masyarakat tidak menggunakan gigi tiruan. Tooth loss may affect function of mastication, phonetic and aesthetic. However, due to factors such as the economy, knowledge, no time so that people are not replacing missing teeth with denture. The purpose of this study to identify factors that cause Rukoh community not wear dentures. This research is a descriptive study conducted at Rukoh District of Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh. Large sample of 298 people. The sampling technique used purposive method. Below are the factors which are listed in the survey: financial 153 respondent (51.3%), knowledge 141 respondent (47.3%), phonetics 69 respondent (23.2%). Economic factors and knowledge is the largest factor that causes people not to use dentures.
