ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data profil hematologi anjing pemburu (Canis familiaris) jantan dan betina di Nagari Tabek Panjang, Sumatera Barat. Subjek penelitian adalah 12 ekor anjing pemburu berumur 5 bulan sampai 24 bulan dengan berat badan 8-12 kg, terdiri dari 5 ekor anjing jantan dan 7 ekor anjing betina. Pengambilan sampel darah dilakukan pada vena saphena menggunakan spuit 3 ml. Pemeriksaan profil hematologi dilakukan di Laboratorium Parasitologi, Balai Veteriner Bukittinggi, Sumatera Barat menggunakan hematology analyzer (Exigoeos Vet Boule Medical, Swedia). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Jumlah rata-rata eritrosit, hemoglobin, hematokrit, mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), total leukosit dan trombosit anjing pemburu jantan berturut-turut 6,82±1,42 x106/µl; 14,06±2,28 g/dl; 34,76±5,09%; 52,66±4,50 fl; 20,78±1,79 pg; 38,38±4,92 g/dl; 12,74±2,93 x103/µl; dan 3,02±1,79 x105/µl. Pada anjing pemburu betina, jumlah rata-rata eritrosit, hemoglobin, hematokrit, MCV, MCH, MCHC, total leukosit dan trombosit anjing pemburu betina berturut-turut 5,90±1,67 x106/µl; 12,20±2,86 g/dl; 30,56±6,43%; 52,84±5,46 fl; 20,90±1,54 pg; 39,84±1,88 g/dl; 13,43±3,31 x103/µl dan 2,42±1,09 x105/µl. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa profil hematologi anjing pemburu jantan dan betina berada dalam kisaran normal dan tidak terdapat perbedaan profil hematologi menurut jenis kelamin anjing di Nagari Tabek Panjang Sumatera Barat.

ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to determine hematological profile of the hunting dogs and to compare the hematological profile in male and female hunting dogs in the Nagari Tabek Panjang of West Sumatra. The study used 12 hunting dogs aged 5 months-2 years old and weight 8-12 kg, consisting of 5 males and 7 females. Blood samples were drawn from saphenous vein using a disposable 3 ml syringe. The examination of hematological profile was done at the Parasitology Laboratory, Balai Veteriner Bukittinggi, West Sumatra using a hematology analyzer (Exigoeos Vet Boule Medical, Swedia). The data obtained was analyzed using t test. The results showed that average numbers of erythrocyte, haemoglobin, haematocrit, mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), leukocyte total and platelet of the male hunting dogs were 6.82±1.42 x106/µl; 14.06±2.28 g/dl; 34.76±5.09%; 52.66±4.50 fl; 20.78±1,79 pg; 38.38±4.92 g/dl; 12.74±2,93 x103/µl and 3.02±1.79 x105/µl, respectively. Average numbers of erythrocyte, MCV, MCH, MCHC, leukocyte total and platelet of the female hunting dogs were 5.90±1.67 x106/µl; 12.20±2.86 g/dl; 30.56±6.43%; 52.84±5.46 fl; 20.90±1.54 pg; 39.84±1.88 g/dl; 13.43±3.31 x103/µl and 2.42±1.09 x105/µl, respectively. It can be concluded that the hematological profile of hunting dogs was in a normal range and there were no significant differences of the hematological profile between male and female hunting dogs in the Nagari Tabek Panjang of West Sumatra.
