ABSTRAK Infertilitas memengaruhi sekitar 17% pasangan di seluruh dunia dan faktor gangguan pada pria bertanggung jawab sekitar setengah dari total kasus. Kualitas sperma yang buruk pada pria akibat penggunaan ganja secara akut ataupun kronik dapat menyebabkan terjadinya infertilitas. Zat yang ada di dalam ganja dapat mengganggu aksis hipotalamus-pituitari-gonad dan spermatogenesis yang akan menghasilkan kualitas sperma yang buruk. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh frekuensi paparan asap ganja sebanyak satu kali sehari, dua kali sehari, dan tiga kali sehari terhadap kualitas sperma tikus penelitian. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental menggunakan rancangan post test only control group design. Subjek penelitian berupa tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) strain Wistar sebanyak 24 ekor yang diberikan perlakuan selama 30 hari, kemudian dikorbankan untuk diambil cairan sperma melalui cauda epididimis. Selanjutnya dilakukan pemeriksaan kualitas sperma menggunakan tiga parameter yaitu konsentrasi, morfologi abnormal, dan motilitas sel sperma dan kemudian dibandingkan antar kelompok perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa paparan asap ganja dapat menurunkan kualitas sperma tikus (Rattus norvegicus) strain Wistar. Namun, frekuensi paparan asap ganja tidak memperlihatkan perbedaan yang nyata (p>0,05) terhadap kualitas sperma tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) strain Wistar. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah frekuensi paparan asap ganja tidak memengaruhi kualitas sperma. Kata kunci: kualitas sperma, tikus putih, ganja. ABSTRACT Infertility affects about 17% of couples worldwide and the disorders factor from male is responsible for about half of the total cases. Poor sperm quality in men because of the use of marijuana acutely or chronically can cause infertility. Substances contained in marijuana can interfere with the hypothalamic-pituitarygonadal axis and spermatogenesis can result in poor sperm quality. This research aimed to find out the effect of frequency of marijuana smoke exposure once a day, twice a day, and three times a day to the sperm quality of rats in the study. This study was an experimental study using the plan of post test only control group design. The subject of research was white rats (Rattus norvegicus) Wistar strain in the number of 24 that were given treatment for 30 days, then they were sacrificed to take the semen through cauda epididymis. Next, the checkup of sperm quality was conducted using three parameters, namely concentration, abnormality morphology, and motility of sperm cells and then compared among treatment groups. The results showed that marijuana smoke exposure can lower sperm quality of rats. However, the frequency of marijuana smoke exposure indicated no significant differences (p>0.05) on sperm quality of white rats (Rattus norvegicus) Wistar strain. It is concluded that the frequency of marijuana smoke exposure do not affect the sperm quality. Keywords: Sperm quality, white rats, marijuana.
