Title	:	Teaching Speaking by Using NHT (Numbered Heads Together) for Senior High School Students

This study which used library research is purposed to explore the appropriate data or theories found in previous research that can be applied to increase students’ ability in oral communication (speaking) by using NHT. Speaking is a skill which can foster students’ ability orally. In fact, it is difficult for them to give or say their ideas which influenced by lack of vocabulary, unable to form/make a good sentence because of poor understanding in grammar and also motivation that delimitates their ability to communicate orally. Furthermore, a teacher is expected to be able to apply the accurate technique in order to increase students’ ability in the process of teaching and learning speaking. In the final part of this study, there are two results of previous study that show us by using NHT (Numbered Heads Together) students’ speaking ability, their vocabulary and motivation, are significantly increase. Furthermore, students also become more active in giving their thought because the atmosphere created by applying this technique makes them feel comfortable and freely to share their own ideas to another student. All of them were highly motivated and focused to the topic when the teacher taught them by using this technique.
