This study aims to examine the influence of earnings, cash flow components, and operating working capital on future cash flow, where the cash flow components that have chosen in this study are operating cash flow, investing cash flow, and financing cash flow. For measuring the future cash flow, this study uses operating cash flow in one year after observed year (t+1) as a proxy of future cash flow.
The samples of this study are the banking companies listed on IDX (Indonesia Stock Exchange) in 2010-2014. The Samples are collected using purposive sampling method and resulted 28 companies as the final samples. The dataneeded for this study are collected from the companies’ annual report. Then, the data analyzed by multiple regression analysis.
The results of this study show that (1) The earnings, operating cash flow, investing cash flow, financing cash flow, and operating working capital simultaneously influencethe future cash flow, (2) The earnings influences the future cash flow, (3) The operating cash flow notinfluence the future cash flow, (4) The investing cash flow does not influences the future cash flow, (5) The financing cash flow does notinfluence the future cash flow, and (6) The operating working capital does not influence the future cash flow.
