ABSTRACT This study examines of the factors that affect the fiscal stress on the regency/municipality in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the local revenue, local expenditure and economic growth/GDP towards fiscal stress on the regency/municipality of Indonesia. The data used is secondary data, sourced from APBD, the realization of APBD and economic growth data regency/municipality in Indonesia from 2011- 2012. In this study, samples will be taken as much as 30% of the 505 population of as many as 151 districts / cities. Thus was fulfilled to 160 districts / cities, so that samples taken from each province is as much as five samples taken at random. The result of this study indicates that local revenue, local expenditure and economic growth/GDP significantly influence the fiscal stress on the regency / municipality of Indonesia. Partially, only local revenue have significant influence towards the fiscal stress on the regency / municipality of Indonesia. Meanwhile, local expenditure and economic growth/GDP do not influence significantly the fiscal stress on the regency / municipality of Indonesia. Variables of thelocal revenueand local expenditurepositively correlated tofiscalstresson the regency / municipality of Indonesia. Meanwhile, the variables of economic growth/GDP negatively correlated to thefiscalstress on the regency / municipality of Indonesia. Keywords: Fiscal stress, Local revenue, Local Expenditure, Economic growth/GDP ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengkaji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi fiscal stress pada Kabupaten/ Kota di Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh pendapatan daerah, belanja daerah dan pertumbuhan ekonomi/PDRB terhadap fiscal stress pada Kabupaten/Kota di Indonesia. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang bersumber dari data APBD Kabupaten/Kota di Indonesia, laporan realisasi APBD Kabupaten/Kota di Indonesia dan data PDRB Kabupaten/Kota di Indonesia tahun 2011 dan tahun 2012. Pada penelitian ini akan diambil sampel sebanyak 30% dari 505 populasi yaitu sebanyak 151 Kabupaten/Kota. Dengan demikian digenapkan menjadi 160 Kabupaten/Kota, sehingga sampel yang diambil dari masing-masing provinsi adalah sebanyak 5 sampel yang diambil secara acak. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan secara simultan pendapatan daerah, belanja daerah dan pertumbuhan ekonomi/PDRB berpengaruh signifikan terhadap fiscal stress pada Kabupaten/ Kota di Indonesia. Secara parsial hanya variable pendapatan daerah yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap fiscal stress pada Kabupaten/Kota di Indonesia, sedangkan variable belanja daerah dan pertumbuhan ekonomi/PDRB tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap fiscal stress pada Kabupaten/ Kota di Indonesia karena nilai signifikansi (Sig.) berada diatas nilai ? (derajat koefisien ) sebesar 0,05. Variabel pendapatan daerah dan belanja daerah berkorelasi positif terhadap fiscal stress pada Kabupaten/Kota di Indonesia, sedangkan variable pertumbuhan ekonomi/PDRB berkorelasi negative terhadap fiscal stress padaKabupaten/Kota di Indonesia.
