Pada jaringan lokal, Samba dan Microsoft Active Directory dapat digunakan&#13;
sebagai file server untuk menyimpan data pengguna secara terpusat. Kedua&#13;
layanan file server ini juga memungkinkan pengguna untuk mengakses akun&#13;
komputer dengan menggunakan sembarang komputer yang terhubung pada&#13;
jaringan lokal. Permasalahan yang ingin diteliti adalah tingkat kinerja server&#13;
terhadap serangan pingflood dan DoS dan waktu transfer data dari kedua layanan&#13;
server. Tujuan penelitian ini melihat perbandingan persentase penggunaan CPU&#13;
dan waktu tanggap kedua server terhadap klien dalam keadaan normal maupun&#13;
saat terjadinya serangan serta mengukur waktu transfer data antara kedua server.&#13;
Serangan pingflood dilakukan dengan menjalankan script yang dapat&#13;
mengirimkan paket ping dalam ukuran besar. Serangan DoS dilakukan dengan&#13;
menggunakan aplikasi LOIC. LOIC bekerja dengan mengirim paket UDP dalam&#13;
ukuran besar ke kedua server. Hasil yang didapat pada penelitian ini adalah nilai&#13;
rata-rata response time dan penggunaan CPU pada server Samba lebih kecil&#13;
dibanding server Microsoft Active Directory. Saat dilakukan penyerangan DoS,&#13;
nilai rata-rata response time server Samba adalah 224,2 ms dengan penggunaan&#13;
CPU sebesar 10,3%, sedangkan response time server Microsoft Active Directory&#13;
mencapai 284,2 ms dengan penggunaan CPU sebesar 27%. Saat mentransfer file&#13;
utuh yang berukuran 5 GB dan 10 GB, tidak terjadi perbedaan waktu yang&#13;
signifikan setelah dilakukan uji t dengan tingkat keyakinan 95%. Samba&#13;
memerlukan waktu yang lebih singkat dibanding Microsoft Active Directory pada&#13;
saat mentransfer file sebanyak 512 file dan 1.024 file dengan ukuran masingmasing file adalah 10 MB.&#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;
&#13;
On the local area network (LAN), Samba and Microsoft Active Directory can be&#13;
used as file server to store user data centrally. Both of them also allow users to&#13;
access the computer account using any computer that connected to the LAN. The&#13;
issues to be observed is the server performance level against pingflood attacks and&#13;
DoS and data transfer times of both services server. The aim of this research are to&#13;
display the CPU usage percentage and the response time of the server to client in&#13;
normal condition and during an attack, and to measure the data transfer time&#13;
between two servers. Pingflood attacks carried out by running a script that can&#13;
send ping packets in large capacity. DoS attacks carried out by using LOIC&#13;
application. LOIC works by sending UDP packets in large capacity to both server.&#13;
The result obtained in this research is that the average value of response time and&#13;
CPU usage on the Samba server are smaller than the Microsoft Active Directory&#13;
server. As a DoS attack conducted, the average value of response time on Samba&#13;
server is 224,2 ms with CPU usage by 10,3%, while the response time of&#13;
Microsoft Active Directory server reached 284,2 ms with CPU usage by 27%.&#13;
Once transferring intact files having 5 GB and 10 GB capacity did not occur&#13;
significant differences in time after t test with 95% confidence level. Samba&#13;
requires a shorter time than the Microsoft Active Directory when each 10 MB file&#13;
was transferred. In addition, the number of transferred file are 512 and 1.024 files.&#13;
