ABSTRACT
The research took place in the mounth of Januari to May 2016 in to the beach Ujong Pancu and Lamteungoh of Aceh Besar to see the distribution of the Olive ridley turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea) and environmental characteristics of the environment in the region in the region that includes. Research using survey methods at 3 stations Parameter of research include the wide of the beach, the tilt of the beach, the characteristics of the fine sand grains, the temperature, the land temperature, vegetation the beach and predators and data analyzed in descriptive. Basedon observations at Ujong Pancu beach there have 8 nests and 7 the nesting of the turtles at Lamteungoh beach. The nesting habitat of the turtles in Ujong Pancu beach with the 494 m, wide beach 76 cm – 21,3 m, the tilt of the 11,5o, the category of fine sand grains, the temperature sand 27-31oC, air temperature 26-28oC, and have the type vegetation Avicennia marina Forsk, Indigofera sp, Pandanus tectorius sp, Calotropis gigantean Willd, Casuarina equisetifolia L, Cyperus rotundus L. The nesting habitat of the turtles in Lamteungoh beach with the 552 m (station 2) 233, and (station 3) 319 m, wide beach 3,40-15,90 m, the tilt of the 5,05°-6,16o, the category of fine sand grains, the temperature sand 26-31oC, air temperature 26-28oC, and have the type vegetation Ipomoea pes-caprae L, Sesuvium portulacastrum L, chloris barbata Sw, P. tectorius sp, C. gigantean Willd, C. equisetifolia L, C. rotundus L, and Eleusin indica L .and there are types of predators among others : human (Homo sapiens), monitor lizard (Varanus salvator), craps (Brachyura), dog (Canis familiaris), pig (Sus barbatus).

ABSTRAK

Penelitian berlangsung pada bulan Januari-Mei 2016 di Pantai Ujong Pancu dan Pantai Lamteungoh Kabupaten Aceh Besar untuk mengetahui distribusi sarang penyu lekang (Lepidochelys olivacea) dan karakteristik lingkungan di kawasan tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey pada 3 stasiun. Parameter penelitian meliputi lebar pantai, kemiringan pantai, karakteristik pasir, suhu udara dan suhu tanah, vegetasi pantai dan predator. Data dianalisa secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan di Pantai Ujong Pancu terdapat 8 sarang dan Pantai Lamteungoh 7 sarang peneluran penyu. Habitat peneluran penyu di Pantai Ujong Pancu memiliki panjang pantai 494 m, lebar pantai 76 cm – 21,3 m, kemiringan pantai 11,5o, katagori butiran pasir halus, suhu pasir 27-31oC, suhu udara 26-28oC dan memiliki jenis vegetasi Avicennia marina Forsk, Indigofera sp, Pandanus tectorius sp, Calotropis gigantean Willd, Casuarina equisetifolia L, dan Cyperus rotundus L. Habitat peneluran di Pantai Lamteungoh dengan panjang pantai 552 (stasiun 2) 233, dan (stasiun 3) 319 m, lebar 3,40-41,6 m, kemiringan pantai 5,05°-6,16o, katagori butiran pasir halus, suhu pasir 26-31oC, suhu udara 26-28oC, dan memiliki jenis vegetasi Ipomoea pes-caprae L, Sesuvium portulacastrum L, Chloris barbata Sw, P. tectorius sp, C. gigantean Willd, C. equisetifolia L, C. rotundus L, dan Eleusin indica L. Dan terdapat jenis predator antara lain : manusia (Homo sapiens), biawak (Varanus salvator), kepiting (Brachyura), anjing (Canis familiaris), babi (Sus barbatus).
