Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan smartphone addiction dengan kecenderungan nomophobia pada mahasiswa Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Syiah Kuala. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 10 Juni 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain descriptive correlative dengan pendekatan cross sectional study dengan variabel yang diukur adalah smartphone addiction dan kecenderungan nomophobia. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu simple random sampling, dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 440 orang, sedangkan jumlah sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 89 responden. Smartphone addiction diukur dengan menggunakan kuesioner Korean Smartphone Addiction Scale (K-SAS) dan kecenderungan nomophobia diukur dengan menggunakan Nomophobia Questionnaire (NMP-Q). Kuesioner tersebut dibagikan kepada responden untuk diisi sesuai dengan yang dirasakan oleh responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak (76,4%) mengalami tidak ketergantungan pada smartphone addiction dan (44,9%) mengalami kecenderungan nomophobia pada tingkat sedang. Penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara smartphone addiction dengan kecenderungan nomophobia pada mahasiswa Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Syiah Kuala yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai p-value 0,001. Rekomendasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah ditujukan pada mahasiswa Keperawatan untuk dapat mengurangi kemungkinan terjadinya nomophobia dengan mengurangi penggunaan smartphone yang berlebihan. NO. 1207101020052 THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SMARTPHONE ADDICTION AND NOMOPHOBIA TENDENCY IN STUDENTS OF FACULTY OF NURSING OF SYIAH KUALA UNIVERSITY ABSTRACT Smartphone addiction can cause addiction in students of the Faculty of Nursing in excessive use of smartphones. When used in the long term and continuously smartphone most likely causes nomophobia symptoms in the students, so that the fear they perceive makes them preferring to miss their wallet than to miss their smartphone. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between smartphone addiction and nomophobia tendency in students of the Faculty of Nursing of Syiah Kuala University. This research was conducted on June 10, 2016. This research used a correlative descriptive design with cross sectional approach with measured variable were smartphone addiction and nomophobia tendency. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling, with a total population of 440 people, while the number of samples used were 89 respondents. Smartphone addiction was measured using a questionnaire of Korean Smartphone Addiction Scale (K-SAS) and the tendency nomophobia was measured by using Nomophobia Questionnaire (NMP-Q). The questionnaires were distributed to respondents to be filled in accordance with what was perceived by the respondents. The results showed that 76.4% of respondents had no addiction on smartphones and 44.9% of respondents had nomophobia tendency at a moderate level. The results showed that there was a relationship between the smartphone addiction and nomophobia tendency in the students of the Faculty of Nursing of Syiah Kuala University indicated by a p-value of 0.001. It recommended that the nursing students be able to reduce the possibility of nomophobia occurrence by reducing the excessive use of smartphones.
