HUBUNGAN PERILAKU HYGIENE ORGAN REPRODUKSI DENGAN TERJADINYA KEPUTIHAN PADA MAHASISWI FAKULTAS KEPERAWATAN UNIVERSITAS SYIAH KUALA
ABSTRAK
Mahasiswi keperawatan memiliki kesempatan untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan yang baik tentang kesehatan di bandingkan masyarakat pada umumnya terutama terkait perilaku hygiene organ reproduksi sebagai salah satu penyebab keputihan. Namun masih ada keluhan dari beberapa mahasiswi terkait terjadinya keputihan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku hygiene organ reproduksi dengan terjadinya keputihan pada Mahasiswi Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Syiah Kuala. Jenis penelitian ini adalah korelatif melalui pendekatan cross sectional study. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswi Fakultas Keperawatan angkatan 2012 dan 2013 dengan jumlah 209 mahasiswi. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 137 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang terdiri dari 21 pernyataan. Metode analisis data menggunakan uji chi square test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai p-value 0,000 (?=0,05) menolak H0, yang berarti bahwa ada hubungan antara perilaku hygiene organ reproduksi dengan terjadinya keputihan pada mahasiswi Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Syiah Kuala dan masalah keputihan di kalangan mahasiswi berada dalam kategori fisiologis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, peneliti menyarankan kepada mahasiswi agar dapat mempertahankan perilaku hygiene organ reproduksi dengan baik sebagai salah satu tindakan pencegahan penyakit organ reproduksi.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HYGIENE BEHAVIOR CONCERNING THE REPRODUCTIVE ORGAN AND THE OCCURRENCE OF LEUCORRHEA IN STUDENTS OF NURSING FACULTY OF SYIAH KUALA UNIVERSITY

ABSTRACT

Nursing students have opportunity to obtain good knowledge about health compared to the people in general especially about the hygiene behavior concerning reproductive organ as one of the causes of leucorrhea (a thick, whitish or yellowish vaginal discharge). Nevertheless, there were some female students who still have problem about the occurrence of leucorrhea. The purpose of this research was to find out the relationship between hygiene behaviors concerning the reproductive organ and the occurrence of leucorrhea in female students of Faculty of Nursing of Syiah Kuala University. This research used correlative design with cross-sectional study approach. Population of the research was batch 2012 and 2013 female students of Faculty of Nursing of Syiah Kuala University with total number of 209 students. Samples were collected by using simple random sampling technique with total samples of 137 respondents. Data were collected by using questionnaire consisting of 21 statement items. Data analysis method used was Chi square statistical test. The result of the research showed that p-value 0.000 (?=0.05) rejected H0, meaning that there was a relationship between hygiene behavior concerning reproductive organ and the occurrence of the leucorrhea in female students of Faculty of Nursing of Syiah Kuala University and the leucorrhea in the students was in physiological category. Based on the results, the researcher suggests that the students maintain the hygiene behaviors concerning the reproductive organ properly as a precaution of reproductive organ diseases.
