This study was discovered the problems faced by teachers in teaching English at SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh. The subjects of this study were seven English teachers at this school. Descriptive qualitative method was used in this study. The data were collected through interview which consisted of six questions. The data collected were analyzed qualitatively using words. The findings found that the problems faced by the teachers in teaching English namely, lack of teaching aid (unavailable projector and loudspeaker); utilizing the assessment (difficult to assess speaking and writing skill);  classroom  size  (having  bad  attitude  and  crowded  class);  understanding curricula  (the  complex  content  of  curriculum,  lack  of  teachers’  training  and complicate  to  design  lesson  plan  and  assessment);  finding  teaching  materials (culture, unsuitable material from textbook and difficult to find listening material); applying  teaching  method  (the  students’  personality  and  ability).  This  study concludes that all teachers seemed to have problems in all components in teaching English.  The  findings  suggested  that  English  teachers  should  be more  adaptive, creative and innovative to create good learning atmosphere.&#13;
