PENANGANAN KASUS DIARE PADA PEDET DI UPTD BALAI PEMBIBITAN TERNAK DINAS PETERNAKAN DAN KESEHATAN HEWAN PROVINSI JAMBI Elsa Yulianti (NIM: 1302001010012) ABSTRAK Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara penanganan kasus diare pada pedet di UPTD Balai Pembibitan Ternak Dinas Peternakan dan Kesehatan Hewan Provinsi Jambi dan diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi tentang cara penanganan kasus diare pada pedet, menambah wawasan dan ilmu pengetahuan bagi penulis. Pengamatan kondisi pedet dan praktek langsung dilakukan terhadap 37 ekor pedet dengan observasi dan survey lapangan. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan 10 ekor pedet mengalami diare dan 1 ekor pedet mengalami kematian disebabkan oleh diare. Persentase morbiditas dan mortalitas berturut-turut adalah 27,02 dan 2,70%. Kesimpulan Penanganan kasus diare pada pedet yang tidak memperlihatkan gejala diare diberikan terapi secara simptomatis dan terapi supportif . Upaya penanganan pada pedet yang memperlihatkan gejala diare yang disebabkan oleh cacing Ascaris sp dan cacing Fasciola sp diberikan anthelmetik yang bersifat broadspektrum, sedangkan untuk jenis parasit dari kelompok protozoa dikendalikan dengan menggunakan obat dari golongan sulfonamide. Kata kunci : Diare, pedet, morbiditas, mortalitas HANDLING THE CASE OF DIARRHEA IN UPTD LIVESTOCK BREEDING AND ANIMAL HEALTH JAMBI PROVINCE This final project aims to determine how to handle cases of diarrhea in UPTD Livestock Breeding and Animal Health Jambi Province and is expected to provide information to farmers on how to handle cases of diarrhea in calves, add insight and knowledge for writers on the handling of cases of diarrhea in calves. Observing the condition of the calf and practice conducted on 37 calf with observations and field surveys. The results showed 10 of calves with diarrhea and one calf death caused by diarrhea.
