Kelapa (Cocos nucifera L) merupakan tanaman perkebunan dan industri yang berupa pohon batang lurus dari family Palmae. Tanaman kelapa merupakan tanaman serbaguna atau tanaman yang mempunyai nilai ekonomi tinggi. Potensi dari serat sabut kelapa (Cocofiber) yang merupakan hasil dari pengolahan sabut kelapa banyak digunakan sebagai bahan baku industri rumah tangga, furniture dan industri kreatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis prospek industri sabut kelapa pada UD. Coco Tanjung Sejahtera di Desa Tanjung Beuridi Kecamatan Peusangan Selatan Kabupaten Bireuen dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus (case study) dan pemilihan lokasi dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive sampling). Prospek industri pengolahan sabut kelapa layak untuk diusahakan karena jumlah permintaan dan harga dipasaran untuk produk olahan sabut kelapa memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi. Kata Kunci: Kelapa, Cocofiber, Prospek Industri Sabut Kelapa Coconut (Cocos nucifera L) is an estate and industrial plant which have a straight shape from familiy of Palmae. Coconut is a usable plants and it has a high economic value. The potential of coco fiber which is the product of cultivation from coconut coir is widely used as industrial raw materials household, furniture and creative industries. The purpose of this study is to analyze the prospects of cocofiber industry at UD. Coco Tanjung Sejahtera in Tanjung Beuridi Bireuen District of South Peusangan using the case study method (case study) and location selected by using purposive sampling. The prospects of the development utilization of coconut coir is worthy to be developed due to the amount of demand and market prices for refined products is very high.
