ABSTRAK
Penentuan kandidat yang akan dipilih oleh masyarakat, dihadapkan dengan
berbagai macam perilaku atau sikap pemilih. Firmanzah menyebutkan tipologi
pemilih terbagi kedalam empat jenis yaitu: pemilih rasional, pemilih kritis,
pemilih tradisional, dan pemilih skeptis. Dalam hal ini peneliti tertarik untuk
melakukan penelitian dengan judul, perilaku masyarakat Gampong Cot Mesjid
Kota Banda Aceh dalam memilih keuchik perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mengetahui tipe perilaku masyarakat Gampong Cot Mesjid dalam memilih
keuchik perempuan serta untuk mengkaji penyebab masyarakat Gampong Cot
Mesjid memilih keuchik dari kalangan perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan
dua pendekatan, yaitu: pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif, dengan kata lain
penelitian ini tergolong kedalam metode campuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
yaitu: (1) mayoritas masyarakat Gampong Cot Mesjid tergolong kedalam jenis
pemilih rasional dimana sangat mempertimbangkan visi/misi dan program yang
ditawarkan oleh kandidat, serta kelompok pemilih tradisional yaitu dimana faktor
agama Yusniar yang kuat dan figur suami Yusniar yang merupakan keuchik
sebelumnya sangat berpengaruh bagi masyarakat Gampo ng Cot Mesjid dalam
memilih keuchik perempuan; (2) adapun penyebab masyarakat Gampong Cot
Mesjid dalam memilih keuchik perempuan yaitu dipengaruhi oleh tiga aspek
yaitu, sosiologis, psikologis dan rasional; aspek sosiologis yaitu dikarenakan
Yusniar merupakan sosok yang dekat dan berbaur dengan masyarakat; aspek
psikologis yaitu karena pengaruh citra sosial Yusniar terhadap masyarakat; dan
pendekatan rasional yaitu program yang ditawarkan Yusniar yang sangat
berpengaruh bagi masyarakat Gampong Cot Mesjid dalam memilih keuchik
perempuan. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil yaitu perilaku masyarakat Gampong
Cot Mesjid dalam memilih keuchik perempuan tergolong kedalam pemilih
rasional dan tradisional.

ABSTRACT
Determining candidates which will be chosen by society is faced by
various attitudes or voters’ attitudes. Firmanzah said typology of the voters
divided into four types, that are: the rational, the critical, the traditional, and
skepttical voters. In this case the writer interested to research by title, the way
society in Gampong Cot Mesjid Banda Aceh in choosed keuchik perempuan. The
aims of this research were to investigate the way society Gampong Cot Mesjid in
choosed keuchik perempuan and to find out the cause people people Gampong
Cot Mesjid in choosed keuchik (village’s chief) from among women. This
research applied by two approaches, that are a qualitative approach and
quantitaive approach. In other words this research employs to mixed methods.
The results of this research showed that: (1) majority people of Gampong Cot
Mesjid included to rational voters where is considered by vision/mission and the
program that offered by candidate, and the traditional voters who choosed the
candidate by religious and the figure of the candidate husband which is keuchik
before that was influentied for the people of Gampong Cot Mesjid to be c hoosed
keuchik perempuan; (2) the cause people of Gampong Cot Mesjid in choosed
keuchik perempuan that influentied by three aspects, that are: sociological model,
psycological model, and rational choice model; sociological model because
candidate is so close and integrate with the people; psycological model because
the social candidate that influentied to the people; and rational choice model
because is programs offered by the candidate that so influentied to people of
Gampong Cot Mesjid in choosed keuchik perempuan. The conclusion from this
research is the way society of Gampong Cot Mesjid in choosed keuchik
perempuan were included to rational and trational voters.
