Daun pacar kuku merupakan salah satu tanaman obat tradisional  yang memiliki aktivitas antibakteri. Penelitian dilakukan untuk menguji daya hambat Pseudomonas aeruginosa terhadap  ekstrak etanol daun pacar kuku (Lawsonia inermis L.). Penelitian ini menggunakan design eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang dibagi dalam 4 kelompok perlakuan dan 2 kelompok kontrol. Pengulangan masing-masing dilakukan sebanyak 4 kali. Perlakuan terdiri dari ekstrak etanol daun pacar kuku dengan konsentrasi 12,5%, 25%, 50% dan&#13;
75%. ciprofloxacin 5 µg dan aquadest masing-masing digunakan sebagai kontrol positif dan kontrol negatif. Ekstrak daun pacar kuku diperoleh dengan cara maserasi menggunakan etanol 96%. Uji daya hambat dilakukan dengan metode difusi cakram Kirby-Bauer. Data dianalisis dengan ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji DUNCAN. Berdasarkan hasil uji ANOVA yang dilakukan diperoleh nilainya adalah 442,680. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun pacar kuku konsentrasi 12,5%, 25%, 50% dan 75% menghasilkan zona hambat rata-rata terhadap pertumbuhan Pseudomonas aeruginosa masing-masing sebesar&#13;
5,87 mm, 8,12 mm, 10,2 mm dan 13,0 mm. Hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa ekstrak etanol daun pacar kuku pada seluruh konsentrasi menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata dalam menghambat pertumbuhan Pseudomonas aeruginosa dibandingkan kontrol negatif. Jika dibandingkan dengan kontrol positif, setiap jenis konsentrasi juga memiliki hubungan yang berbeda nyata, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun pacar kuku pada seluruh konsentrasi dapat menghambat pertumbuhan Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Semakin tinggi konsentrasi ekstrak semakin besar zona hambat yang terbentuk.&#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;
&#13;
Nail Henna Leaves is one of traditional medicine that has antibacterial activity. This research was conducted to test the inhibition of Pseudomonas aeruginosa againts ethanol leaf extract nails. This research used completely randomized design method divided to 4 treatmaent groups and 2 control groups. Each repetition is done 4 times. The treatment groups consist of Henna leaves extract  with  concentration  12,5%,  25%, 50%  and  75%. Positive  control  was ciprofloxacin 5 µg and negative control was aquadest. Antibacterial effect test used Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method. The ethanol extract of Henna leaves were obtained by maceration technique using ethanol 96% as solvent. Data of this research were analyzed by ANOVA followed by DUNCAN. Based on the results of test conducted ANOVA obtained value is 442,680. The results showed that Henna leaves extract in concentration   12,5%, 25%, 50% and 75% provide average inhibition area respectively 5,87 mm, 8,12 mm, 10,2 mm and 13,0 mm. The result showed that Henna leaves extract in concentration 12,5%, 25%, 50% and 75% had significant differences in inhibiting the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa compared to negative control. If compared to the positive control, every kind of concentration has a significantly different connection, it can be concluded that Henna leaves extract entire concentration can inhibit the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The higher concentration of extract, the greater inhibition area was formed.&#13;
