Judul : Pengaruh Konsumsi Minuman Kopi Robusta dan Rokok Terhadap Perubahan Warna Resin Komposit Mikrohibrid

Minuma kopi biasanya dikonsumsi bersamaan dengan rokok. Kopi dan rokok mengandung zat seperti kafein, nikotin dan tar yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan warna pada restorasi kedokteran gigi seperti resin komposit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perubahan warna resin komposit mikrohibrid setelah dilakukan perendaman pada minuman kopi robusta dan dipaparkan asap rokok filter. Sebanyak 16 spesimen resin komposit mikrohibrid berbentuk silindris berukuran 5 mm dengan ketebalan 2 mm digunakan pada penelitian ini. Setiap spesimen direndam didalam minuman kopi selama 30 menit pada suhu 37?C. Spesimen dicuci pada air mengalir dan selanjutnya dipaparkan asap rokok sebanyak 10 batang dengan aspirasi selama 3 detik pada setiap spesimen. Selanjutnya spesimen dicuci kembali pada air mengalir dan dikeringkan menggunakan tisu. Spesimen difoto menggunakan stereomikroskop. Foto yang dihasilkan dianalisis menggunakan program Adobe Photoshop 7.0. dengan metode penilaian CIElab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perubahan warna secara visual dengan rentang nilai lebih dari (?E > 8). Berdasarkan sistem warna CIELab dengan parameter ?E, rentang nilai tersebut terlihat secara visual dapat mempengaruhi nilai estetik suatu bahan restorasi.

Coffee drinks usually consumed with cigarettes. Coffee and cigarette contain substances like caffeine, nicotine, and tar which can lead to discoloration of dental restoration like resin composite. The purpose of this research was to determine the change of color resin composite mikrohybrid after soaked in robusta coffee and the smoke exposure from cigarette. Sixteen specimens with silindris shape and size of 5 mm with thickness of 2 mm used in this research. Each specimen was soaked in coffee drinks for 30 minutes at a temperature of 37°C. Specimens is washed on flowing water and then speciments exposes with smoke as many as ten sticks of cigarette with aspirations for three seconds on each specimen. Next step spesimens is washed again on flowing water and dried using tissue. Specimens is photographed using stereomikroskop. The picture is analyzed using the Adobe Photoshop 7.0. program with the CIELab Assessment methods. The results showed that there is a change the color of visually with the range of more value than (AE > 8). Based on the system color of CIELab with AE parameter, a range of the value seen as a visual can affect the value of aesthetic the restoration.
