ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya cerna protein pada ikan kuwe (Caranx ignobilis) yang diberi pakan ikan rucah pada waktu yang berbeda. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2015 bertempat di Balai Perikanan Budidaya Air Payau Ujung Batee, Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini mengunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 5 taraf perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan dengan waktu yang berbeda mulai dari 0; 2.5; 5; 7.5 dan 10 jam. Hasil uji Analysis of Varian (ANOVA ) menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan waktu cerna berpengaruh nyata terhadap daya cerna protein ikan kuwe (Caranx ignobilis). Hasil uji lanjut beda nyata jujur (BNJ) menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan daya cerna yang berbeda pada setiap perlakuan waktu cerna. Daya cerna protein yang paling tinggi menurun pada jam 7,5 yaitu 12.11%. Kata kunci : Daya cerna, protein, ikan kuwe (Caranx ignobilis) ABSTRACT The objective of this research was to determine the protein degestibility of pompano (Caranx ignobilis) fed trash fish at different times. This study was conducted on August, 2015 at Brackish Water Aquaculture development center, Ujung Batee, Banda Aceh. The study used a completely pandomized design with level 5 treatments and 4 replications at different times starting at 0; 2.5; 5; 7.5 and 10 hours. The result of ANOVA showed that time (duration of digestibility) gane the significant effect ob the protein digestibility of pompano. The further test usy honestly significant difference shomed that there was the significant difference of protein digestibility between treatment. The highest decline protein digestibility of 12,11% found at the 7.5th hour.
