ABSTRAK Penelitian tentang “Identifikasi dan Kepadatan Bulu Babi (Echinoidea) di Ekosistem Terumbu Karang Krueng Raya Aceh Besar” yang dilakukan pada bulan Januari-Maret 2015 di Perairan Krueng Raya Kecamatan Mesjid Raya Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode transek sabuk yaitu mencatat jumlah individu yang terdapat di sepanjang transek. Hasil penelitian ditemukan Bulu Babi (Echinoidea) dengan jenis Diadema setosum, Echinostrephus sp dan Echinothorix calamaris pada ketiga lokasi penelitian. Kelimpahan Diadema setosum yang tertinggi diperoleh pada lokasi perairan Benteng Inong Balee, sedangkan untuk Echinostrephus sp nilai kelimpahan tertinggi diperoleh pada lokasi perairan Lhok Me, dan Echinothoric calamaris nilai kelimpahan tertinggi diperoleh nilai yang sama yaitu lokasi perairan Benteng Inong Balee dan Lhok Me. ABSTRACT Research on "Identification and Density of Urchins (Echinoidea) in the Coral Reef Ecosystem Krueng Raya, Aceh Besar" conducted in January -March 2015 at Krueng Raya, Aceh Besar district. This study used belt transect method that records the number of individuals who were along the transect. Research found Urchins (Echinoidea) with the species of Diadema setosum, Echinostrephus sp and Echinothorix calamaris at three study sites. Diadema setosum highest abundance obtained on the location Benteng Inong Balee, while for Echinostrephus sp highest abundance values obtained at the location of Lhok Me, and Echinothoric calamaris highest abundance values obtained the same value, namely the location of Benteng Inong Balee and Lhok Me.
