ABSTRAK Penelitian mengenai tingkat kesamaan makrozoobenthos pada rumpun Nipah di perairan Sungai Reuleung Leupung, Aceh Besar telah di lakukan pada bulan Maret 2015. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kepadatan dan tingkat kesamaan makrozoobenthos di zona terlindung dan tidak terlindung Nypa fruticans di perairan Sungai Reuleung Leupung Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survey yang terdiri dari 4 stasiun pengamatan. Penentuan lokasi penelitian dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dimana lokasi penelitian ditentukan berdasarkan kriteria dan tujuan tertentu. Penelitian ini menggunakan empat stasiun pengamatan, kemudian di lakukan 3 kali pengulangan pada setiap stasiun menggunakan plot kuadrat 20 cm x 20 cm. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 19 jenis makrozoobenthos dari 3 kelas, yaitu kelas Bivalvia, Crustacea dan Gastropoda di kawasan terlindung, sedangkan di kawasan tidak terlindung ditemukan 18 jenis makrozoobenthos dari 2 kelas, yaitu kelas Bivalvia dan Gastropoda. Tingkat kesamaan kawasan terlindung dan tidak terlindung berkisar antara 48 % sampai 71 %. Kesimpulan adalah tingkat kesamaan makrozoobenthos kawasan terlindung dan tidak terlindung tergolong rendah. Kata kunci : Kesamaan, Makrozoobenthos, Sungai Reuleung Leupung. iv ABSTRACT The research was about similarity degrees of macrozoobenthos in Nypa fruticans clumps on the waters of Reuleung Leupung River, Aceh Besar has been done in March 2015. This study purposed to determine a density and similarity degrees of macrozoobenthos in protected and unprotected zones at Nypa fruticans of the Reuleung Leupung River Aceh Besar. The research used a survey method that consist four observation stations. Location of research determined by purposive sampling method where the location was determined based on criteria and a particular research purposes. This research used four stations used 20 cm x 20 cm quadratic plot. The Results of the research was found 19 macrozoobenthos species from 3 classes, bivalves, gastropods and crustaceans in protected area, and in the unprotected region was found 18 species of macrozoobenthos from 2 classes, bivalves and gastropods. The similarity degree of protected and unprotected area ranged between 48% to 71%. The similarity degree of macrozoobenthos at protected and unprotected area was low in this region.
