dimurnikan, terdiri atas Metarhizium anisopliae, Aspergillus terreus, Aspergillus
candidus, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus ustus, dan Lichtheimia corymbifera.
Isolat M. anisopliae hanya ditemukan pada satu titik pengambilan sampel. Secara
makroskopis, isolat memiliki koloni berwarna hijau zaitun dengan sisi balik
kuning hingga putih, berbentuk circular, bertekstur velvety hingga powdery, serta
memiliki tepi entire. Secara mikroskopis, isolat memiliki hifa hialin bersekat,
konidiofor bercabang, fialid tersusun vertisilat, dan konidia berbentuk silindris
hingga elipsoid.

control agent against termites. This study aimed to isolate and inventory Metarhizium isolates obtained from soil surrounding termite colonies within the Universitas Syiah Kuala campus. The research employed a qualitative approach, specifically an exploratory study utilizing an exploratory survey method and a descriptive design. Sampling was conducted purposively at four locations containing active termite colonies, identified by the presence of termite tunnels, soil mounds, small holes on the ground surface, and termite activity around trees or building materials. Fungal isolation was performed using the insect baiting method with worker termites as bait, followed by purification and morphological identification (both macroscopic and microscopic). The results yielded 22 successfully purified fungal isolates, comprising Metarhizium anisopliae, Aspergillus terreus, Aspergillus candidus, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus ustus, and Lichtheimia corymbifera. The M. anisopliae isolate was found at only one sampling site. Macroscopically, the isolate exhibited olive-green colonies with a yellow-to-white reverse side; the colonies were circular in shape, had a velvety-to powdery texture, and possessed entire margins. Microscopically, the isolate displayed septate hyaline hyphae, branched conidiophores, verticillate phialides, and cylindrical-to-ellipsoid conidia. Based on these macroscopic and microscopic morphological characteristics, the isolate successfully identified from the soil surrounding termite colonies at Universitas Syiah Kuala is Metarhizium anisopliae.
