Pembuatan busana kasual pria berbasis motif etnik Aceh dalam konteks desain modern memerlukan inovasi agar sesuai dengan tren kontemporer dan selera kalangan muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang jaket pria melalui penggabungan motif etnik Aceh dan elemen visual kontemporer, menganalisis proses pembuatannya menggunakan teknik bordir, serta menilai hasil akhir produk berdasarkan aspek estetika, fungsi, dan daya tarik bagi kalangan muda. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode eksperimen terapan. Informan terdiri atas empat orang yang dipilih secara purposive, mencakup ahli busana, ahli bordir, dan perwakilan kalangan muda. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan, dokumentasi, wawancara, observasi, dan eksperimen. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa jaket yang dirancang berhasil memadukan motif etnik Aceh dan elemen visual kontemporer, menghasilkan tampilan modern berkarakter maskulin tanpa menghilangkan identitas budaya. Proses pembuatan meliputi tahapan pembuatan pola, pemotongan bahan, penerapan bordir, perakitan (assembling) dan finishing. Penerapan teknik bordir menunjukan memberikan fleksibilitas tinggi serta meminimalkan risiko kerusakan bahan. Evaluasi produk menunjukkan nilai estetika yang tinggi, kenyamanan penggunaan, serta kesesuaian yang kuat dengan tren fesyen masa kini. Produk jaket motif etnik Aceh dan visual kontemporer mendapat respons positif dari para informan dan dinilai berpotensi mendukung pelestarian budaya Aceh melalui inovasi fesyen modern.

The creation of men’s casual wear based on Acehnese ethnic motifs within a modern design context requires innovation to align with contemporary trends and the preferences of young consumers. This study aims to design a men’s jacket through the integration of Acehnese ethnic motifs and contemporary visual elements, to analyze the production process using embroidery techniques, and to evaluate the final product based on aesthetic, functional, and appeal aspects for young consumers. This research employs a qualitative approach with an applied experimental method. The informants consist of four purposively selected individuals, including a fashion expert, an embroidery expert, and representatives of young consumers. Data collection techniques include literature review, documentation, interviews, observation, and experimentation. The results of the analysis indicate that the designed jacket successfully integrates Acehnese ethnic motifs with contemporary visual elements, producing a modern and masculine appearance while maintaining cultural identity. The production process involves pattern making, material cutting, embroidery application, assembling, and finishing. The application of embroidery techniques demonstrates high flexibility and minimizes the risk of material damage. Product evaluation shows high aesthetic value, comfort in use, and strong relevance to current fashion trends. The jacket product, which combines Acehnese ethnic motifs with contemporary visual elements, received positive responses from informants and is considered to have the potential to support the preservation of Acehnese culture through modern fashion innovation.
