Bangunan pelindung pantai tipe revetment di Pantai Ujung Kareung, Meulaboh, berfungsi meredam hempasan gelombang utama. Namun, kemunculan fenomena overtopping memicu pergeseran susunan blok pelindungnya. Evaluasi performa hidrolika pada struktur eksisting ini belum pernah dikaji melalui pendekatan studi numerik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mensimulasikan kinerja revetment dan parameter dinamika gelombang menggunakan perangkat lunak DualSPHysics berbasis metode Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH). Hasil simulasi menunjukkan run-up gelombang di atas bangunan mencapai tinggi 9,179 m. Kecepatan aliran terdistribusi dari laut dalam (6–7,8 m/s), slope pantai (4–7,5 m/s), area sebelum bangunan (4–6,5 m/s), tubuh revetment (3,5–5 m/s), dan di puncak struktur (1–2,5 m/s).Sementara itu, tekanan gelombang tercatat sebesar 70.560,90 Pa di laut dalam, 43.564,60 Pa di slope, 76.217,60 Pa sebelum struktur, 42.090,0 Pa pada revetment, 35.472,80 Pa di puncak, dan 20.058,70 Pa pada blok kubus penahan. Analisis parameter hidrodinamika ini membuktikan bahwa konfigurasi eksisting struktur revetment mampu mereduksi energi gelombang secara efektif, meskipun tetap mengalami limpasan.

Revetment structures play a crucial role as primary coastal protection against wave impact, as deployed at Ujung Kareung Beach, Meulaboh. However, the occurrence of overtopping has triggered displacement in the arrangement of its armor blocks. To date, the hydraulic performance of this existing structure has not been evaluated through numerical modeling. Therefore, this study applies a numerical approach using the SPH-based DualSPHysics software to evaluate the revetment performance and simulate wave dynamics parameters. The simulation results reveal a wave run-up height of 9,179 m above the structure. Flow velocities range from 6–7.8 m/s in deep water, 4–7.5 m/s on the beach slope, 4–6.5 m/s before the structure, 3.5–5 m/s on the revetment body, and 1–2.5 m/s at the crest. Furthermore, wave pressures are recorded at 70,560.90 Pa in deep water, 43,564.60 Pa on the slope, 76,217.60 Pa before the structure, 42,090.0 Pa on the revetment, 35,472.80 Pa at the crest, and 20,058.70 Pa at the rear blocks. Based on these hydrodynamic parameters, the existing revetment configuration effectively attenuates wave energy despite experiencing overtopping.
