Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perbedaan manajemen pemeliharaan induk betina produktif terhadap umur beranak pertama (UBP) dan days open (DO) sapi Aceh di BPTU-HPT Indrapuri. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan observasi komparatif berdasarkan data sekunder reproduksi 200 ekor induk sapi Aceh yang dipelihara pada sistem intensif dan ekstensif. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan menggunakan uji Independent Sample t-test.

This study aimed to analyze the effect of different management systems for productive breeding cows on the age at first calving (AFC) and days open (DO) of Aceh cattle at BPTU-HPT Indrapuri. The study employed a quantitative method with a comparative observational approach using secondary reproductive data from 200 Aceh breeding cows raised under intensive and extensive management systems. The data were analyzed descriptively and statistically using the Independent Samples t-test. The results showed that the management system had a highly significant effect on both age at first calving and days open (P < 0.001). The average age at first calving under the intensive system was 34.12 months, whereas under the extensive system it was 27.66 months. In addition, the average days open under the intensive system reached 270.80 days, while under the extensive system it was only 118.28 days. These findings indicate that the extensive management system resulted in better reproductive performance than the intensive system, as evidenced by a lower age at first calving and a shorter days open period. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the change in management from an intensive to an extensive system had a positive effect on the reproductive efficiency of Aceh cattle at BPTU-HPT Indrapuri. These results may serve as a reference for developing management strategies aimed at improving the productivity and reproductive performance of Aceh cattle.
