Naleh fish (Barbonymus sp.) is a local freshwater fish from Aceh commonly found in western Aceh, particularly in Nagan Raya Regency. Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) isolated from the digestive tract of naleh fish have potential as probiotic candidates for aquaculture. This study aimed to determine the antibacterial activity of LAB from the digestive tract of naleh fish against Streptococcus agalactiae and to assess their pathogenicity through hemolysis testing. A total of fifteen LAB isolates (NJ1 1, NJ1 2, NJ1 3, NJ1 4, NJ1 5, NJ1 6, NJ1 7, NJ1 9, NJ1 10, NJ1 11, NJ1 12, NJ1 13, NJ1 14, NJ1 15, and NJ1 16) were used in this study. Antibacterial activity was tested using the agar plug diffusion method, while hemolysis activity was tested on Blood Agar medium. The results showed that fourteen LAB isolates inhibited the growth of Streptococcus agalactiae, with inhibition zones in the weak category (
