Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh Kesulitan Keuangan dan Siklus Hidup Perusahaan terhadap Restrukturisasi Utang Pada Perusahaan Subsektor Basic Material Yang Tercatat Di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini, tahap siklus hidup perusahaan diklasifikasikan ke dalam tahap pengenalan, pertumbuhan, matang, dan penurunan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah perusahaan subsektor basic material yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada periode tahun pengamatan 2015-2024. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh sampel akhir sebanyak 31 perusahaan dengan total 269 observasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi logistik dengan menggunakan program IBM SPSS Statistik 25. Hasil penelitian mendapati bahwa kesulitan keuangan berdampak negatif signifikan terhadap restrukturisasi utang. Selain itu, pada siklus hidup perusahaan tahap pengenalan dan penurunan berdampak positif signifikan terhadap restrukturisasi utang. Sementara itu, siklus hidup perusahaan tahap pertumbuhan dan matang tidak berdampak terhadap restrukturisasi utang.
This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of Financial Distress and Firm Life Cycle on Debt Restructuring in Basic Material Subsector Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. In this study, the corporate life cycle stages are classified into introduction, growth, maturity, and decline. Corporate restructuring decisions are proxied through debt restructuring. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study are basic material subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the observation period 2015-2024. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling and obtained a final sample of 31 companies with a total of 269 observation. The analysis technique used is logistic regression analysis using the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 program. The results of the study indicate that financial distress has a significant negative effect on debt restructuring. Then, the introduction and decline phases of the corporate life cycle have a significant positive effect on debt restructuring. Meanwhile, the growth and maturity phases of the corporate life cycle have no effect on debt restructuring.
