Penelitian ini berjudul “Pandangan Masyarakat Gampong Lambaro Neujid Kec. Peukan Bada Kab. Aceh Besar dalam Memaknai Tsunami 2004 (Study fenomenologi pada Gampong Lamabro Neujid Kecamatan Peukan Bada Kabupaten Aceh Besar)”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana pandangan masyarakat Gampong Lmabaro Neujid dalam memaknai fenomena bencana alam tsunami pada tahun 2004. Bencana tsunami yang terjadi pada tahun 2004 silam merupakan salah satu bencana terbesar yang pernah dialami indonesia yaitu pada provinsi aceh, berdasarkan beberapa laporan dari jurnalisitik terkenal seperti USGS mengatakan gempa bumi yang memicu terjadi bencana tsunami pada tahun 2004 yang lalu yaitu berkekuatan 9.1 richter yang dimana menyebabkan tsunami dengan ketinggian gelombang mencapai 30 meter dan memakan korban jiwa yang sangat banyak, Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif serta pendeketan yang digunakan peneliti adalah pendekatan fenomenologi, penelitian ini dilakukan pada Gampong Lambaro Neujid Kecamatan Peukan Bada Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan teknik wawancara,observasi serta dokumentasi dan adapun responden penelitian ini adalah bagian dari masyarakat Gampong Lambaro Neujid diantaranya, tokoh agama, serta warga Gampong yang mengalami bencana tsunami Aceh. Hasil penelitian ini menunjuk kan bahwa masyarakat Gampong Lambaro Neujid memaknai peristiwa tsunami Aceh dengan berbagai macam, mulai dari sebagai ujian, cobaan hingga titik perdamaian Aceh.

This research is entitled "Community Views in Interpreting the 2004 Tsunami Natural Disaster (Case Study of Gampong Lamabro Neujid, Peukan Bada District, Aceh Besar Regency)". This study aims to see how the people of Gampong Lmabaro Neujid view the phenomenon of the natural disaster tsunami in 2004. Basically, most religious people see a natural disaster phenomenon as a form of test or punishment from God for humans, while the view of scientists will always see disasters rationally, disasters are seen as part of the natural cycle that occurs due to several factors such as human actions or due to natural factors. The tsunami disaster that occurred in 2004 was one of the biggest disasters that Indonesia has ever experienced, namely in Aceh Province, based on several reports from well-known journalists such as the USGS said that the earthquake that triggered the tsunami disaster in 2004 was a magnitude of 9.1 Richter which caused a tsunami with a wave height of 30 meters and took a lot of lives. Based on a report from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is 227,898 people, while data from the United Nations says the number of Aceh tsunami victims reached 230 thousand people. In this study, the researcher uses a qualitative method and the approach used by the researcher is a phenomenological approach, this research was carried out in Lambaro Neujid Village, Peukan Bada, Aceh Besar Regency. The data collection method in this study is by interview, observation and documentation techniques and the respondents of this study are part of the gampong population including keuchik/village heads, religious leaders, and gampong residents.
