Minyak biji kopi arabika (Coffea arabica L.) merupakan tanaman yang banyak mengandung senyawa bioaktif, salah satunya seperti asam linoleat dan asam klorogenat yang berfungsi untuk melembabkan bibir, mencegah kekeringan dan kerusakan kulit bibir akibat sinar UV. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan aktivitas antioksidan minyak biji kopi arabika, mengevaluasi stabilitas fisik sediaan lip balm yang diformulasikan dengan minyak biji kopi arabika setelah penyimpanan pada suhu yang berbeda, menentukan keamanan sediaan lip balm terhadap reaksi alergi atau iritasi pada kulit serta menentukan aktivitas antioksidan dan kelembaban pada masing-masing formulasi lip balm yang diformulasikan. Uji aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan dengan metode DPPH. Hasil karakteristik bobot jenis minyak biji kopi arabika sebesar 0,940 g/mL, dan indeks bias sebesar 1,4797. Hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan minyak biji kopi arabika sebesar 17,125 ppm dengan kategori sangat kuat. Sediaan lip balm diformulasikan menjadi tiga formula yaitu F0 (tanpa minyak biji kopi arabika), F1 (0,3% minyak biji kopi arabika), dan F2 (0,6% minyak biji kopi arabika). Hasil evaluasi organoleptik F0,F1,dan F2 memiliki tekstur semi padat, dan beraroma khas minyak biji kopi arabika, F0 putih kekuningan, F1 berwarna kuning muda, dan F2 berwarna kuning tua. Hasil evaluasi ketiga formula memenuhi standar persyaratan mutu yang baik dan tidak menimbulkan iritasi pada kulit. Hasil uji kesukaan lebih disukai F2 dan uji kelembaban F2 juga memberikan rata-rata peningkatan kelembaban yaitu 46,72%. Uji aktivitas antioksidan sediaan menunjukkan F0 memiliki antioksidan sedang (134,73 ppm), F1 memiliki aktivitas antioksidan kuat (87,486 ppm), dan F2 memiliki aktivitas antioksidan sangat kuat (46,178 ppm). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah formula sediaan lip balm minyak biji kopi arabika memenuhi standar mutu fisik sediaan yang baik dan memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang sangat kuat.

Arabica coffee bean oil (Coffea arabica L.) is a plant that contains many bioactive compounds, one of which is linoleic acid and chlorogenic acid which function to moisturize the lips, prevent dryness and damage to the skin of the lips due to UV rays. The purpose of this study was to determine the antioxidant activity of Arabica coffee bean oil, evaluate the physical stability of lip balm preparations formulated with Arabica coffee bean oil after storage at different temperatures, determine the safety of lip balm preparations against allergic reactions or irritation to the skin and determine the antioxidant activity and moisture in each formulated lip balm formulation. The antioxidant activity test was carried out using the DPPH method. The results of the characteristics of the specific gravity of Arabica coffee bean oil were 0.940 g / mL, and the refractive index was 1.4797. The results of the antioxidant activity test of Arabica coffee bean oil were 17.125 ppm with a very strong category. The lip balm preparation was formulated into three formulas, namely F0 (without Arabica coffee bean oil), F1 (0.3% Arabica coffee bean oil), and F2 (0.6% Arabica coffee bean oil). The results of the organoleptic evaluation of F0, F1, and F2 had a semi-solid texture and a distinctive aroma of Arabica coffee bean oil, F0 was yellowish white, F1 was light yellow, and F2 was dark yellow. The evaluation results of the three formulas met the standards of good quality requirements and did not cause irritation to the skin. The results of the preference test were more preferred by F2 and the humidity test of F2 also gave an average increase in humidity of 46.72%. The antioxidant activity test of the preparation showed that F0 had moderate antioxidants (134.73 ppm), F1 had strong antioxidant activity (87.486 ppm), and F2 had very strong antioxidant activity (46.178 ppm). The conclusion of this study is that the formula of the Arabica coffee bean oil lip balm preparation meets the physical quality standards of good preparations and has very strong antioxidant activity.
