Ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos) sering mengalami kematian akibat Infeksi Aeromonas hydrophila yang menyebabkan kerugian ekonomi maka dari itu perlu dilakukannya pengobatan alternatif yang ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun kersen (Muntingia calabura L.) untuk pengobatan benih ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos) yang terinfeksi bakteri Aeromonas hydrophila. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan dan empat ulangan, yaitu P0 (kontrol negatif), P1 (kontrol positif), serta P2 (50 ppm), P3 (60 ppm), dan P4 (70 ppm) dengan ekstrak daun kersen. Parameter yang diamati meliputi gejala klinis, jumlah leukosit, kadar hemoglobin, tingkat kelangsungan hidup serta kualitas air. Milkfish (Chanos chanos) often experience high mortality due to infection by Aeromonas hydrophila, leading to significant economic losses; therefore, environmentally friendly alternative treatments are required. This study aimed to determine the effect of cherry leaf extract (Muntingia calabura L.) for treating milkfish fry infected with Aeromonas hydrophila using a Completely Randomized Design with five treatments and four replications, namely P0 (negative control), P1 (positive control), P2 (50 ppm), P3 (60 ppm), and P4 (70 ppm). Observed parameters included clinical symptoms, leukocyte count, hemoglobin levels, survival rate, and water quality. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) results showed that cherry leaf extract had a significant effect (P < 0.05) on milkfish survival, with treatment P4 (70 ppm) producing the highest survival rate of 85% and the fastest clinical recovery by day 8, characterized by restored body coloration, fin regrowth, and increased feeding activity. Leukocyte counts returned to normal levels in treatments P3 and P4 on day 7 at 138.8 × 10³ cells/mm³ and 145.7 × 10³ cells/mm³, respectively, while hemoglobin levels improved in treatments P2–P4 with values of 5.6 g/dL, 5.3 g/dL, and 6.2 g/dL. Water quality parameters, including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and salinity, remained within optimal ranges for milkfish throughout the study, indicating that cherry leaf extract at a concentration of 70 ppm is effective in treating milkfish fry infected with Aeromonas hydrophila.
