Pilkada Serentak Tahun 2024 adalah salah satu aspek terpenting dalam penegakan demokrasi daerah. Akan tetapi, dalam penerapannya tidak luput dari imbas aktor non-politik, tercakup didalamnya perusahaan swasta yang beroperasi di daerah. Kabupaten Aceh Barat yaitu daerah yang kaya akan sumber daya alam menjadi tempat berinteraksi antara kepentingan politik dan ekonomi, terutama adanya kehadiran PT. Mifa Bersaudara sebagai perusahaan tambang batubara. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengkaji motivasi dan bentuk keterlibatan PT. Mifa Bersaudara dalam penyelenggaraan Pilkada Serentak di Kabupaten di Aceh Barat tahun 2024 juga mengkaji akibatnya pada dinamika politik lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan data didapatkan dengan melakukan wawancara secara menyeluruh, observasi dan dokumentasi dengan informan yang terdiri dari penyelenggara Pilkada, calon kandidat Pilkada dan pihak perusahaan. Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan teori patron-klien dari James C. Scott untuk menguraikan relasi timbal balik antara aktor ekonomi dan politik. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa keterlibatan PT. Mifa Bersaudara tidak dilakukan secara terbuka (langsung), namun, dilakukan dengan adanya jejaring bisnis (vendor), hubungan kerja sama dan dukungan tidak formal yang mempunyai kaitan politis. Keterlibatan tersebut didorong dengan adanya upaya kepentingan ekonomi, keberlanjutan usaha dan upaya menjaga hubungan dengan pemerintah daerah setempat. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun bersifat tidak terbuka, keterlibatan perusahaan tetap berpengaruh terhadap politik lokal atau daerah. Oleh sebab itu, dibutuhkan penegakan peraturan dan pengawasan agar netralitas perusahaan dan integritas demokrasi lokal tetap terjaga.

The 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections are one of the most important aspects of enforcing regional democracy. However, their implementation is not immune to the influence of non-political actors, including private companies operating in the region. West Aceh Regency, a region rich in natural resources, is a place where political and economic interests interact, especially with the presence of PT. Mifa Bersaudara as a coal mining company. This study was conducted to examine the motivation and form of PT. Mifa Bersaudara's involvement in the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections in West Aceh Regency, as well as to examine its impact on local political dynamics. This study uses qualitative methods and data obtained through comprehensive interviews, observation, and documentation with informants consisting of election organizers, election candidates, and company representatives. The analysis of this study uses James C. Scott's patron-client theory to describe the reciprocal relationship between economic and political actors. The results of this study prove that the involvement of PT. Mifa Bersaudara was not carried out openly (directly), but through business networks (vendors), cooperative relationships, and informal support with political connections. This involvement was driven by economic interests, business continuity, and efforts to maintain relationships with the local government. This study concludes that even though it is not open, the company's involvement still influences local or regional politics. Therefore, enforcement of regulations and supervision are needed to maintain the neutrality of the company and the integrity of local democracy. Keywords: Corporate Involvement, PT.
