Perkembangan kota Lhokseumawe cukup pesat dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk pada sektor pendidikan. Terdapat beberapa kampus di kota Lhokseumawe menjadikan kota ini banyak didatangi oleh khalayak dari berbagai penjuru di Provinsi Aceh. Salah satu kampus yang berada di Kota Lhokseumawe adalah Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe. Kegiatan yang disebabkan oleh adanya aktivitas kampus pada ruas jalan memberikan dampak dari segi teknis, tingkat pelayanan suatu ruas jalan dipengaruhi oleh jumlah kendaraan yang melewati jalan tersebut. Efisiensi ruas jalan adalah kemampuan ruas jalan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan arus lalu lintas sesuai fungsi yang dapat diukur dan dibandingkan dengan standar pelayanan jalan untuk mengetahui besaran dampak lalu lintas yang ditimbulkan oleh aktivitas kampus Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe. Perlu dilakukan suatu kajian analisis kinerja ruas jalan untuk memprediksi apakah jaringan ruas jalan di sekitar lokasi tersebut dapat melayani lalu lintas yang ada. Analisis dilakukan dengan metode PKJI 2023 dan didapatkan hasil untuk nilai derajat kejenuhan ruas jalan Medan – Banda Aceh STA 0+000 yaitu 0,57 untuk workday dan 0,43 untuk weekend. STA 0+500 yaitu 0,61 untuk workday dan 0,56 untuk weekend. STA 1 +000 yaitu 0,61 untuk workday dan 0,55 untuk weekend Sementara untuk ruas jalan Rajawali yaitu 0,06 untuk workday dan weekend. Pada ruas Jalan Peunteut – Mbang didapatkan nilai derajat kejenuhan 0,44 untuk workday dan 0,62 untuk weekend. Selanjutnya yaitu pada ruas Jalan Meuraksa, nilai derajat kejenuhan yaitu 0,43 untuk workday dan 0,60 untuk weekend. Hasil menunjukkan bahwasanya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada ruas Jalan Medan – Banda Aceh antara workday dan weekday, hal ini tentu saja dipengaruhi oleh banyak nya kendaraan yang menuju Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe pada hari kerja. Pada tahun 2029 tingkat pelayanan ruas jalan di sekitar Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe juga masih baik dengan rentang tingkat pelayanan A sampai dengan C.

The development of Lhokseumawe city is quite rapid in various aspects of life, including in the education sector. There are several campuses in the city of Lhokseumawe making this city visited by many people from various parts of Aceh Province. One of the campuses located in Lhokseumawe City is Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic. Activities caused by campus activities on road sections have an impact from a technical point of view, the level of service of a road section is influenced by the number of vehicles passing through the road. Road section efficiency is the ability of road sections to meet the needs of traffic flow according to functions that can be measured and compared with road service standards to determine the amount of traffic impact caused by the Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic campus activities. It is necessary to conduct a study of road section performance analysis to predict whether the road network around the location can serve existing traffic. The analysis was carried out using the PKJI 2023 method and the results obtained for the saturation degree value of the Medan - Banda Aceh road section at STA 0+000, namely 0.57 for workday and 0.43 for weekend. STA 0+500 is 0.61 for workday and 0.56 for weekend. STA 1 +000 is 0.61 for workday and 0.55 for weekend While for the Rajawali road section is 0.06 for workday and weekend. On the Peunteut - Mbang Road section, the degree of saturation value is 0.44 for workday and 0.62 for weekend. Furthermore, on the Meuraksa Road section, the degree of saturation value is 0.43 for workday and 0.60 for weekend. The results show that there is a significant difference on the Medan - Banda Aceh Road section between workday and weekday, this is of course influenced by the large number of vehicles heading to the Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic on weekdays. In 2029 the level of service of road sections around Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic is also still good with a range of service levels A to C.
