Kemajuan industri fashion mendorong pelaku fashion untuk berinovasi termasuk
dalam pengembangan motif khas daerah. Salah satu media penerapannya yaitu pada
hijab. Pengembangan motif khas Aceh Besar sebagai upaya memperkenalkan
budaya daerah kepada masyarakat luas terutama remaja Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mendesain pengembangan motif khas Aceh Besar dan menerapkannya pada
hijab dengan teknik printing dan ditambah sulaman benang, serta mengetahui
pendapat informan mengenai penerapan motif pengembangan khas Aceh Besar.
Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen terapan, dan menggunakan pendekatan
kualitatif bertujuan mengetahui dan memahami pendapat yang diberikan informan.
Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara, dan
eksperimen terapan. Informan berjumlah 6 orang terdiri dari pegawai MAA (Aceh
Besar), pegawai Dekranasda Aceh Besar, dan duta inoeng Aceh Besar. Hasil
penelitian menggunakan motif khas Aceh Besar yaitu motif pucok reubong, oen
ranup, dan bungong meulu. Motif yang dibuat pengembangan tetap menampakkan
ciri khas motif aslinya. Desain motif yang diaplikasikan pada hijab terdiri atas dua
model menggunakan motif yang sama dengan perbedaan pada penempatan motif
dan pengunaan warna. Penggunaan warna pada model hijab I yaitu warna cream,
yellow sand, clay, terrcotta, dan pada model hijab II warna purple moon, orchid
petal, misty lilac dan purple heather. Bahan yang digunakan pada produk hijab
adalah voal platinum tryspan ultrafine. Penggunaan Sulaman benang yang dibuat di
atas motif printing menjadikan tampilan hijab lebih menarik. Berdasarkan
tanggapan informan, penerapan motif Aceh Besar pada hijab dengan teknik printing
dan sulaman benang merupakan hal bagus dalam memperkenalkan motif daerah
dan megapresiasinya, serta menilai gabungan antara teknik printing dan sulaman
benang merupakan hal yang menarik juga memiliki keunikan. Informan juga
berpendapat bahwa penggunaan warna khas Aceh Besar dapat diterapkan dalam
desain. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengembangan motif khas Aceh Besar
pada hijab mampu memberikan nilai estetika dan identitas budaya, sekaligus
berkonstribusi pada pelestarian budaya serta membuka peluang ekonomi melalui
inovasi produk fashion.

The advancement of the fashion industry has encouraged fashion designers to innovate, including developing distinctive regional motifs. One such application is the hijab.The development of typical Aceh Besar motifs as an effort to introduce regional culture to the wider community, especially teenagers. This study aims to design the development of typical Aceh Besar motifs and apply them to hijabs with printing techniques and added thread embroidery, as well as to find out the opinions of informants regarding the application of typical Aceh Besar motif development. The study uses an applied experimental method, and uses a qualitative approach aimed at knowing and understanding the opinions given by informants. Data collection was obtained from observation, documentation, interviews, and applied experiments. Informants numbered 6 people consisting of MAA (Aceh Besar) employees, Dekranasda Aceh Besar employees, and inoeng ambassadors of Aceh Besar. The results of the study used typical Aceh Besar motifs, namely pucok reubong, oen ranup, and bungong meulu motifs. The developed motifs still show the characteristics of the original motifs. The motif designs applied to the hijab consist of two models using the same motif with differences in motif placement and color use. The colors used in hijab model I are cream, yellow sand, clay, terrcotta, and in hijab model II are purple moon, orchid petal, misty lilac, and purple heather. The material used in hijab products is voal platinum tryspan ultrafine. The use of thread embroidery made on top of the printed motif makes the hijab look more attractive. Based on the informant's response, the application of Aceh Besar motifs on hijabs with printing and thread embroidery techniques is a good way to introduce regional motifs and appreciate them, and assess the combination of printing and thread embroidery techniques is interesting and also has uniqueness. Informants also argue that the use of typical Aceh Besar colors can be applied in designs. This study concludes that the development of typical Aceh Besar motifs on hijabs is able to provide aesthetic value and cultural identity, while contributing to cultural preservation and opening economic opportunities through fashion product innovation.
