Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya inovasi dalam pembelajaran Seni
Budaya yang mampu menumbuhkan kreativitas siswa secara optimal. Media
pembelajaran yang terbatas dan metode konvensional menyebabkan siswa kurang
berani bereksperimen serta sulit mengekspresikan ide-ide orisinal dalam berkarya.
Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan teknik lukis kaca dalam
pembelajaran Seni Budaya serta menganalisis dampaknya terhadap peningkatan
kreativitas siswa kelas XI-3 SMA Negeri 1 Krueng Barona Jaya. Penelitian
menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan subjek 28 siswa. Objek
penelitian adalah penerapan teknik lukis kaca dan pengaruhnya terhadap kreativitas
siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, lalu
dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan
penarikan kesimpulan. Pembelajaran dilaksanakan dalam tiga kali pertemuan:
pengenalan teknik dan eksplorasi ide, penerapan teknik lukis kaca, serta penyelesaian
dan apresiasi karya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik lukis kaca
meningkatkan kreativitas siswa pada empat aspek utama, yaitu kelancaran berpikir,
keluwesan, elaborasi, dan keaslian. Berdasarkan observasi dan wawancara, siswa
menjadi lebih berani bereksperimen, percaya diri, serta mampu mengemukakan ide
orisinal. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa 14,29% siswa berada pada kategori
sangat kreatif, 71,43% kreatif, 10,71% cukup kreatif, dan 3,57% kurang kreatif.
Dengan demikian, penerapan teknik lukis kaca efektif meningkatkan kreativitas siswa
melalui kegiatan praktik yang inovatif, kontekstual, dan bermakna, serta dapat menjadi
alternatif strategi pengajaran Seni Budaya di sekolah.

Mukhsin Putra Hafid, S.Sn., M.A. This study was motivated by the lack of innovation in Art and Culture learning that effectively fosters students’ creativity. Conventional methods and limited learning media often make students less confident to experiment and express their original ideas. This research aims to describe the implementation of the glass painting technique in Art and Culture learning and to analyze its impact on improving the creativity of class XI-3 students at SMA Negeri 1 Krueng Barona Jaya. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving 28 students as participants. The object of the study was the implementation of the glass painting technique and its influence on students’ creativity. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using thematic analysis through data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The learning activities were conducted in three sessions: introduction and idea exploration, application of the glass painting technique, and completion with artwork appreciation. The findings showed that the glass painting technique successfully improved students’ creativity in four aspects: fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality. Based on observations and interviews, students became more confident, explorative, and capable of expressing their original ideas. The creativity assessment results revealed that 14.29% of students were in the “very creative” category, 71.43% in the “creative” category, 10.71% in the “fairly creative” category, and 3.57% in the “less creative” category. Therefore, the implementation of the glass painting technique proved effective in enhancing students’ creativity through innovative, contextual, and meaningful learning experiences, and can serve as an alternative strategy in Art and Culture education at schools.
