Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi struktur signifikasi yang meliputi makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos dalam subjek kajian film Jatuh Cinta Seperti di Film-Film karya Yandy Laurens. Dengan menjadikan dialog dan adegan tokoh sebagai sumber data utama, proses pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik observasi dan seleksi adegan secara purposif. Analisis data kemudian dilakukan menggunakan kerangka teori semiotika Roland Barthes, yang menghasilkan temuan empiris berupa identifikasi 21 aspek denotasi, 55 aspek konotasi, dan 38 aspek mitos. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa film tersebut tidak sekadar berfungsi sebagai media naratif, melainkan turut berpartisipasi aktif dalam pembentukan serta reproduksi makna sosial, budaya, dan ideologis melalui konstruksi semiotikanya.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Drs. Denni Iskandar, M.Pd., and Dr. Budi Arianto, S.Pd., M.A. This study aims to investigate the structure of signification encompassing denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings within the film Jatuh Cinta Seperti di Film-Film by Yandy Laurens. Utilizing character dialogues and scenes as primary data sources, data collection was conducted through observation and purposive scene selection. The data were subsequently analyzed using Roland Barthes' semiotic framework, yielding empirical findings of 21 denotative aspects, 55 connotative aspects, and 38 mythical aspects. These findings indicate that the film functions beyond a mere narrative medium, actively participating in the formation and reproduction of social, cultural, and ideological meanings through its semiotic construction.
