Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola dan kenyamanan sirkulasi
jamaah di Masjid Raya Baiturrahman Banda Aceh sebagai masjid ikonik yang
menampung ribuan jamaah setiap harinya. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah
kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan,
dokumentasi, dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada jamaah. Analisis dilakukan dengan
membandingkan kondisi eksisting terhadap teori sirkulasi arsitektur menurut Ching
(2007) dan standar Neufert, Architects’ Data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa
alur sirkulasi jamaah di Masjid Raya Baiturrahman sudah cukup terorganisir dengan
pola radial menuju ruang utama ibadah. Namun, masih ditemukan beberapa titik
kepadatan terutama di pintu masuk, area wudhu, dan koridor penghubung akibat
tumpang tindih arus masuk dan keluar. Dari aspek kenyamanan, sebagian besar jamaah
menilai sirkulasi tergolong nyaman, didukung oleh material lantai yang aman,
pencahayaan yang memadai, serta ventilasi alami yang baik. Kendati demikian,
fasilitas bagi penyandang disabilitas dan lansia masih perlu ditingkatkan untuk
mewujudkan sirkulasi yang lebih inklusif dan efisien.

This study aims to analyze the patterns and comfort of congregation circulation at the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque in Banda Aceh as an iconic mosque that accommodates thousands of worshippers daily. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection methods through field observation, documentation, and distribution of questionnaires to the worshippers. The analysis was conducted by comparing the existing conditions with architectural circulation theories according to Ching (2007) and Neufert's standards, Architects’ Data. The results of the study indicate that the congregation circulation at Baiturrahman Grand Mosque is fairly well organized with a radial pattern leading to the main prayer hall. However, several congestion points were still found, especially at the entrances, ablution areas, and connecting corridors due to overlapping entry and exit flows. In terms of comfort, most worshippers consider the circulation to be quite comfortable, supported by safe flooring materials, adequate lighting, and good natural ventilation. However, facilities for people with disabilities and the elderly still need to be improved to achieve a more inclusive and efficient circulation.
