Dimensi Vertikal Oklusal (DVO) merupakan parameter penting dalam rehabilitasi prostodontik yang menunjukkan hubungan vertikal antara rahang atas dan bawah. Penentuan DVO secara klinis sering bervariasi, sehingga diperlukan acuan antropometri wajah yang lebih objektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara jarak Subnation–Menton (Sn–Me) dan jarak Pupil–Rima Oris (P–RO) pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Syiah Kuala (FKG USK) bersuku Aceh (Deuteromelayu), Metode Penelitian ini merupakan observasional analitik dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional pada 50 subjek dengan metode pemilihan total sampling yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Pengukuran dilakukan menggunakan vernier caliper digital, dan data dianalisis dengan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal. Nilai rata-rata jarak Sn–Me sebesar (53,13 ± 4,46 mm) sedangkan jarak P–RO sebesar (64,95 ± 2,89 mm) . Hasil uji t menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua jarak tersebut (p < 0,001), dengan nilai P–RO lebih besar dibandingkan Sn–Me. Kesimpulannya, jarak pupil–rima oris tidak identik dengan jarak subnation–menton, namun dapat dijadikan acuan alternatif dalam memperkirakan dimensi vertikal oklusal pada populasi suku Aceh Deuteromelayu

Occlusal Vertical Dimension (OVD) is an important parameter in prostodontic rehabilitation that shows a vertical relationship between the upper and lower jaws. The determination of clinical DVO often varies, so a more objective facial anthropometric reference is needed. This research aims to find out the difference between the distance of Subnation–Menton (Sn-Me) and the distance of Pupil–Rima Oris (P–RO) in students of the Faculty of Dentistry of Syiah Kuala University (from the Aceh (Deuteromelayu), this research method is an analytical observational with a cross-sectional research design on 50 subjects with a total sampling selection method that meets the inclusion criteria. Measurements are done using a digital vernier calliper, and the data is analysed with an independent sample t-test. The results show that the data is normally distributed. The average value of Sn–Me distance is (53,13 ± 4,46 mm) while P–RO distance is (64,95 ± 2,89 mm) . The results of the t-test showed a significant difference between the two distances (p < 0.001), with a greater P–RO value compared to Sn–Me. In conclusion, the pupil–rima oris distance is not identical to the subnation–menton distance, but can be used as an alternative reference in estimating the occlusal vertical dimension in the Aceh Deuteromelayu population.
